Just a small rant from me, I was wondering, does anyone else have the problems that I get with eBay customer support?
It seems like whenever I sent them a query, of any sort, I have to put in big letters "PLEASE READ THIS EMAIL" or else I get an automated reply? I find that my emails are never even properly read..
For example, I am forced to choose a "question" relating to the problem on the help section of their website. Then it shows me a related section of the website (which 99% is of no use whatsoever), so I email support, for example about a negative feedback or something like that.
I spend a long time making the situation very clear etc, and then I get an automated response suggesting that I use Square Trade! LOL!
Once, I said that the user's contact information was incorrect, and I couldn't ring them, what did support say? "Try requesting your buyer's contact information and telephone number"...
It really annoys me!
Also, recently, I uncovered a case of blatantly extreme SHILL BIDDING, this was going on because a very well astablished seller on ebay UK was bidding on items of another user, and this other user had the same name as their offline business... and I explained to ebay.
First thing ebay did was ban them both for 30 days... great, the next day they were unbanned.. - WTF, then I emailed ebay again, and they banned 1 of them again, then the next day they were unbanned...
I emailed ebay twice since and they dont even reply now, it's so blatant these sellers are one and the same person, they list their items in the same format, they are located in the same town, and they bid to bump up the final price (shill bidding), they are one and the same, because on the website of their offline name, they quote the website which is the username on ebay, and on that username, in the 'ME' page, they quote the same website, that the offline business quotes..
Quite complicated, but at the end of the day, I feel ebay dont care much as long as their pockets are being lined with gold...
Does anyone else have similar gripes?
