  1. I've got no real idea what a 2800 would sell for, but $102 for the loose one (?) sounds good. As for the different 2600 models, there should be data of relative rarity on this forum, even if not always updated prices. I might be wrong, and the JR model could be less common/more desirable than say a Vader, in which the relative valuation would hold.

Shipping should always be excluded, since a system sold in your neighbourhood shouldn't be worth less than if you found it overseas and had to factor in shipping costs and other expenses.

Makes sense not to add shipping to the list...and can you believe that a Nes is over $100 these days? :o

  2. Well my dad when I was growing up had pretty much every console and handheld, protos for many consoles(some that cant even be found on the net) around 20 thousand individual games including Air Raid(which I called blue shooter when I was young) and Nintendo World Championships but it all tragically burned in a house fire while was at school and to top it off, my dad had JUST gotten me Street Fighter Alpha for the CPS Changer(Capcom's version of the Neo Geo) :_( Anyway recently Ive been trying to gather all the consoles and handhelds(not including regional varients as some have like 30 regional varients). Most wont care andsome will say Im bullshitting about my dad having all that crap but im doing it for myself and I could care leaa what you think. No im not asking for help, juat letting you know. Just got me a Amstrad GX4000 boxed so will show pics later. And whats surprising is that I got a really really rare console aswell this week and you'll get pics later

  3. Saying that no more forums needed to be mad is wildly ignorant. Some forums Ive seen only specializes in a certain videogame hardware company or only a few. I'm making my own forum that specializes in all of them From the Odyssey and Microvision and everything in between like the mega Duck and 1292 APVS to the PS4 and 3DS. I'm going to have a DETAILED encyclopedia that goes in depth of all consoles and handhelds(not including regional variants as there's too many of them) and pics of them. I'm also planning to have a magazine and unlike some forums, it will be very smartphone friendly. Also I'm hoping to have a way to store your collection and not like the usual text based way most forums that have this use, but more on the line of what Collectorz and GCstar uses k2o8it.jpg

  4. As my username would suggest Im a huge fan of obscure consoles so if you have ANY obscure console/handheld you don't need please PM. I'm mainly looking for what I put below but ill take anything if the price is right

  5. Not something that I threw away but my dad brought me a Capcom CPS Changer when I was little and love the thing like it was my best friend. Sadly it burned to smithereens when the house got burned down.I just wrote a song about the whole ordeal. Never been the same an Still hurts me to this day :_( :_( :_( :_( :_(

I was a strange kid, a real long ranger
Until my dad brought home a CPS Changer
Captain Commando and Knights of the Round
Had me addicted I was really spellbound
My dad used to play with my on Sunday
had to work every other day but it was a funday
Had the newest Final Fight beating dudes on the block
but outside gang members were outlined with chalk
Friends were jealous like an EX girlfriend
Friends were jealous like an EX girlfriend
I was really going in the deep end
I was really going in the deep end
Was at school trying to turn all my work in
Dad said he would get Street Fighter after he was finished working
Street Fighter would finally be mine
But the house burned down by some Alkaline
    Cried for almost 24 days
I was puzzled like a Crop circle maze
Thinking,Why in the hell did it happen to me
My favorite console but not my Sega CD
I was a strange kid, a real long ranger
Until my dad brought home a CPS Changer

  6. Too expensive and being that's it won't be as upgreadable as normal PC's, only rich people or people who thinks building a PC is hard will buy this. I recently built a rig which has over $600 in parts but only cost me $400. I7 2600 for $100(almost $200 used in retail stores), EVGA 970 ACX 2.0 for $200(around $280+ used elsewhere), Corsair H70 liquid cooler for $26(over $50 used) and 8GB of ram for around $20(over $30 used). Build your own, it's cheaper and you can upgrade everything when you need to.

Brought a Steam controller on Tuesday for $18(had those $50 off Gamestop coupons and was the only reason I got it), which is the day it came out. Comfortable but the plastic is not as good as what's on the PS4, the face buttons are small(almost twice as small as the Xbox One's). No headphone jack or rechargeable battery pack. The analog stick, while not as nice as the one on the Xbox one's controller, but it's not bad at all. Some non Steam games are not working properly with the controller. For instance with Need for speed Most Wanted(the 2006 one), even when you go into the options to change the controls, some of the controls do not do anything. Some are able to be change while some don't do anything, as if you're not even pressing a button. Age of empires 3 works well. Don't have any modern games at the moment so I can't say how those work but for games that are in steam, you just press the home button and you can quickly change the controls effortlessly.Another cool thing is that you can download control configurations that other people have made that fits the game the best. The back triggers are a nice addition and I think this should have been done before dsc07971.jpg A minor nitpick for me is that the front of the controller has some glossy matte on it so it gets fingerprints easily and scratches would get on there(I'm assuming) pretty easily so not a huge fan of that but overall it's a solid controller and I'd recommend it. SO who else has one or may be thinking of getting one?

  8. It just didn't catch on, leading me to believe that most people just want more simple games on the go.

Well the 3DS has just as many in depth games as the Vita and it is currently selling like hot cakes

TBH, I think a Steam tablet would do better than something like this. NVIDIA Shield showed what could be done. And the trick with a tablet is that it can be used for plenty of other things, whereas handheld consoles are one-trick ponies.

The Steam tablet can only play PC games through streaming and you need a gaming PC for that, this on the other hand can play without a PC. Also this runs windows while the Steam tablet runs android so you could use Photoshop, AutoCAD and such on the go.

  9. Well, the Vita was offering great AAA games on the go and people didn't buy. I doubt this will be different.

Also the lack of real sticks and tiny buttons seem

    bad.

Well the reason people didn't buy the Vita was because of it's lack of games, this has thousands of games available to play so it should sell more.It sucks that is does not have actual analog sticks but for games like Age of empires or Command and Conquer, it works well enough

The Steamboy might just be my favorite handheld. Friend has an early unit and GTA V, Skyrim, Fallout Rage, Metro: last light etc on the go is incredible. Because it can also run emulators, now I can finally play Resident Evil 4, Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario Sunshine,Need for speed Carbon and Okami on the go,plus it will only be $300. It has a,5 inch 720p screen,32GB built in memory with SD card slot,4GB ram,HDMI output,Configurable gamepad and upgradable..Not sure the extent of the upgradability of the device but even if it does struggle to run the demanding games say 6 years from now, as a somewhat 8th gen(as I'm sure it won't be able to play the last few demanding 8th gen games on high), 7th gen, and previous gen handheld, It's pretty good.
