this thing here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TV_Boy See the list of included games with correct title names as most of the names are obfuscated because this is a bootleg item. I bought 2 when I was in europe in 1996 and never opened this one. See pictures for condition, it does have some dings and scrapes. $50ppd inside US I am pretty sure they do not make these anymore.

I have one of these in original box anyone interested in buying (or trade for vectrex items)
-
I think your memory is faulty as I got mine in March 2016 (23 months ago) and mine is numbered 544. (or they are not sequential which would be pretty odd)
-
Consider a Bargain edition for those of us who don't care that much about the box and overlays (or even a cart shell) I don't think there is a ROM of this but someone correct me if I am wrong.

Damn, that's pretty impressive. I don't know how much anyone has kept track of Protector I bet that's the only Vectrex homebrew that has sold more over its various published versions.

not really much of a prediction there if you've paid attention to other full game releases in recent years. The hype around this title (not unfounded) was pretty massive, and the only thing working against it is is NOT a limited edition. In that he makes these one at a time including burning a custom rom each time (time consuming) and people (who know) don't stress about ordering it the second they hear about it because you'll "always" be able to get it. The people buying early are either vectrex fanatics and/or want a low serial number (I missed the low serial number on this one but a round number like #200 is pretty cool too.)

don't worry he won't sell out as so far all his games are unlimited going back to his first game almost 10 years ago. here's my hi score so far:

was just playing this, it's fun.

down to 14 sets of springs left, if anyone needs them to fix up that noncentering joystick. check here for details and ordering info http://atariage.com/forums/topic/261824-vectrex-joystick-center-spring-replacements-now-available/?p=3687621

Not that you guys need convincing but I have an early/developers edition (just the pcb no LED Tom gave me a label sticker with it so I made me own case from a Sean Kelly shell) and from a player perspective the 3 new games + having high score save added to existing GCE games has got me playing games more often and trying to break my bests and what not, worth it for those two features alone to me, and the development stuff is just icing on the cake.
-
you can add your own you just have to solder 4 points, the part costs less than a dollar. finding a clear shell will be a bit more difficult although there is suppose to be a batch coming soon.

I've never heard of such a thing, there are no analog pins available in the cart slot so there would have to be an ADC in there as well. The joystick ports bandwidth is something like 9k bits each I think so they wouldn't make for much of an oscilloscope as well. The Engine Analyzer cart doesn't take any signal inputs it is just a menu that can show you what the traces should look like on a scope hooked up to various engine configurations.

the tightness is directly related to 2 springs that are part of the potentiometer assembly that makes up the joystick. These have been known to break, I had a custom run of springs made to replace the originals*. The overlay on the top covers 5 screws you need to remove to get access to the guts of the controller to replace these springs, adjust them via inbuilt trimmer pots or clean the buttons. It comes up rather easily with application of heated air for several minutes, but you can tell it's been lifted up forever afterwards. (someone has made replacement controller "fascia" however as well if you want to replace the overlay) * you can order the springs here http://entropy.tmok.com/~gauze/vectrex/wip/shop.html

ParaJVE hasn't been updated in 6 years, might be time to move on. The emulator in VIDE ( http://vide.malban.de/download) can be kind of slow if you don't have the most modern hardware but at least Chris updates it and it has several modes and options which can give you more speed or accuracy depending on your needs note it is meant as a development environment so you only need to mess with Tools->Starter to launch games (it comes with a fair amount of them!) and Tools->Configuration to set options of the emulator (protip: change from default.vsv to perfomance.vsv in top dropdown menu if gameplay is too slow, you can add features back after that to find a happy medium)

great praise from one of the OG Vectrex Scene's most valuable non-game homebrew creators. Thank you, Richard.

Yes. if there is a Justin P. from here who ordered some please message me with your address.

I've located the other no address guys, I _think_ this last guy might be here on atari age, are any of you "Phillip P" or know who that is?
-
hey I got a few (4) orders without shipping addresses, if this might be you, please message me with your shipping address. (I also tried emailing these people but if they used an email that no longer works...)

after searching long and hard and buying some parts that do not work/fit, I had a batch of custom springs made up so you don't have to cannibalize an atari 2600 cart with a spring loaded door for a replacement anymore to do a repair! These are an exact match to the original springs, no trimming required. I am offering these for sale while they last in a "handsome" hand assembled parts bag with header: 4 replacement springs in each packet, enough to repair 2 joysticks. Order enough to have a display copy Prices include postage!: $5 inside US and territories use this link: https://www.paypal.me/vectrex/5 $6 international use this link: https://www.paypal.me/vectrex/6 if you want multiples you can edit the amount sent from the page you are send to, just click on the dollar amount.

hey, I have one of the first run of these (it's personalized to me even) I want to sell. I can't find info on one being sold in my searches to have some idea of value. I know I can just list it on ebay and see what happens but I figure it was worth a shot asking here. I also know CV isn't like NES, 2600 or even Vectrex as far as the value of rarities goes, I'm just curious. thanks! brian ps sorry for years old bump

you going to sell these? (also vectrex.biz is down)

you'd first have to disassemble the code and then go through it and comment it up to figure out what everything even does which would be a grueling task to begin with, then you have not accounted for the CPU being pretty much the only chip in common between williams boards and vectrex, different interface chips, sound chips, memory maps, and on top of that no sprites would be reusable from ROM of course. The vectrex also has 1k of DRAM vs 48K for williams boards but you could have onboard ram in the cart so that part is among the easiest to overcome. So I wouldn't really consider it having the same CPU much of an advatage.
