Back again for the 3rd year running this model. 49ers are getting 9.00 points of proposition value above their line of -2. Chiefs are getting 2.40 points of proposition value above their line of +2. TI BASIC says bet the 49ers!

Haha. Sure, since I asked, id be happy to take on the project of building some kits. Could someone share a capacitor BOM for a no-QI TI99/4a?
-
Any interest in selling a bag of capacitors to recap a 99/4A (main board and power supply) Having populated a SAMS card myself, I’m left with a bunch of extra components as a result of minimum buy quantities. Just a thought. Perhaps variations in the 99/4A design (QI, etc.) wouldn’t make the juice worth the squeeze.

I will also follow a YouTube series or equivalent if one exists
NEWLINE99 made some very high quality YouTube videos on ASSM Introduction/Fundamentals and Integer/Floating Point. I'm hoping he gets back into the hobby and continues the series.

I've been building my physical book library as items pop-up on eBay. Here is a great resource for a lot of the legacy books:

I have a question. Do you have a reason for not using ." to type text?
I've just started learning FORTH this year and could be wrong, but it seems like using S" TYPE gives more flexibility than ." and so I'm trying to get into the habit of "always" using it for strings. For example:
: test S" Hello World!"
;
test 2DUP TYPE TYPE
btw, In my top post, I neglected to thank @Willsy and @Lee Stewart for their fantastic FORTH products and, more importantly, taking the time to document and teach those that follow.

My favorite Christmas movie is Trading Places and I love the 80s tech in the movie. Using this picture of the Telerate monitors that were in the back of the Duke's limo and in Eddie Murphy/Dan Akroyd's office for inspiration, I put together a holiday program in Turboforth 40 column mode. I'll attach the code. To run in Classic99, just copy the text and paste in TF after selecting option 2. Happy Holidays!!

Vintage electronics toolbox.
Literally. There is a fuse and AC cord coming out the back. It seems the power supply, breadboard, and ammeter are permanently mounted inside.

Just fyi for anyone else, reverse color characters are already defined in Turboforth. Wilsy included them..
THANK YOU! I'm so happy I ran across this. I was just about to start from scratch on inverse characters in TF. Saves me hours!!

I was just browsing eBay and looking at the Jupiter Ace's and their $1500 asking price (on average). Thought back to this project. Perhaps a "TI-99/4ACE" that boots to Forth instead of BASIC could be a reality someday?

Spoiler
That was it! Thank you, Bob @atrax27407

Question about Classic 99 emulation of TurboForth for @Tursi and/or @Willsy. When I create a 80K BLOCKS file on DSK1, I can go into 1 EDIT and the 1st Block displays fine. However, every subsequent block edit appears with the character field all in white (pics below). Any way to get 2 EDIT to display the same as 1 EDIT? thanks!
Note: Other than MKBLK, FLUSH, COLD and EDIT, I haven't used any other words of note to display the pics below.

The proposed dates in early April might work for me this year for VCF East. Just curious if any of the 99ers on here go to this one?

I’ve already got two DSK solutions in my PEB (TIPI and Corcomp DSDD running real iron 5 1/4). Could I throw this into the mix in the same box??

When I hit Powerball tonight, this will be my first purchase:
I’ve never seen a complete Triton system before. I had a sidecar once, but not the IBM computer.

I just ordered this video chess XB auto load floppy from Buddybear on eBay. I’ll be trying it in my PEB system (Corcomp DSDD, SAMS, TIPI, F18a). Curious to see if I experience the same issues. Will report back.
Floppy version works great. I'm not going to pursue this "issue" any further since I have several options available to play. Thanks to everyone who offered help.
