Excellent point! 944.87 = I believe the Brits would call this "944 stone 12"
-
Answer: 944.87 stone....ugh, I'm such a nerd
-
Yes, but if you had a square fathom filled with water and it was leaking a pottle every minute, how many stone would it weigh after 1 hour?
-
Been working on mine this weekend. I've got "something" that works....now just improving it.
-
Oh! Now that is cool. Thanks!

Thanks, Steve. So it sounds like Subroutines can have local variables that can be changed/updated from turn to turn without those variables being declared at the top of the parent program (?)
-
I'm a little rusty on my subroutine variable persistence. If my code was: SUB X,Y,DIR,X1,Y1,DIR1,CODE ..... Q=1 ..... ..... Q=Q+1 ..... SUBEND On my next turn would Q=1 or 2? Thanks! Looking forward to this

Selling TI stuff (I hope this is the right forum)
Switch1995 replied to Johns1124's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
I sold a Triton Turbo XT sidecar a few years back (2016/2017ish). I was surprised at how little it brought on eBay. I always thought it was a cool piece. If you post on eBay, I'll be taking a swing at that -
Back again with updated code for this year's game. Can the TI-99/4A console BASIC go 2-0? My model shows the Eagles with 6.90 points of proposition value above their line of -2. Chiefs have 6.68 points of proposition value above their line of +2. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but as a life-long Eagles fan, I'm happy I don't have to bet against them! SUPERBOWL2023.txt

Very cool!

Apologies if addressed and I missed it. Does use of KSCAN risk destroying anything in scratch pad (like the built in E/A VDP routines would)?
-
If you are exceeding the standard cartridge form factor, perhaps "go nuts" and expand to fit this as a cool retro case: http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/hardware/nav_expand.html

I read through this thread. Very informative. Side note: you never know what post will end a thread...in this case it was an enthusiastic shout-out to the McGriddle!

As someone learning ASSM, I've really enjoyed following this discussion. Good stuff!

If you have an irrational fear of inadequate XB system redundancy, here is a solution: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175511137994?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Bkrzhf3qRK6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=QfU6nnIiRby&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Can this be compiled in XB256?

Does “Spider Invasion” get the Rare label? https://www.ebay.com/itm/285029328934?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=e7XTyiKMQ7y&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=QfU6nnIiRby&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Plus: Breaking the wing off a model fighter airplane and gluing it to the back of a cheap Hong Kong dinosaur and spray-painting the whole thing silver is about a retro as you can get!

Now that @pixelpedant used the "P" word, I'll offer that on Demon Attack, after the enemies fire once, they no longer fire again. Creating a psudo-attract mode. Good graphics and sound for an original game.

Tip of the hat, indeed!

Found it.

At the bottom of Thierry's page he mentions: Brad Snyder created "XBpacker", an utility that allows to store several Extended Basic programs in the SuperAMS card, or even one huge XB program written in a modular fashion. Is there a thread on XBpacker? This is exactly what I've been interested in doing with the SAMS. Thanks!
