  1. I see a bunch of different GBA flash carts with different names and in different sizes. I think some transfer files via USB and some use a different PC port. For those that have shopped for these, what are the pros and cons of the different versions? How many games fit on a 512mb one? 128mb one? What a good price for these nowadays? How good is the software that comes with them and how easy is it to use? I see a lot of people dumping these after owning them a short time which makes me think they don't work as advertised or have bad PC software.
  2. What's new. Beta, old MiniDisc, MemoryStick, and about 15 other Sony formats I'm forgetting.
  3. In the pics I've seen, if that's how the final product will look, I'll pass. It's got a huge widescreen which is nice and all but it makes it the size of the Atari Lynx(ie. HUGE). That kind of bulk and poor battery life helped doom the Lynx. I guess this settles it, N-Gage QD will win the handheld wars.
  4. It already takes a team of 40 programmers, artists and producers 18-24 months and millions of dollars to produce a game that isn't very realistic looking and they cost $50 to buy. Can you imagine the manpower, time and money it would take to get every minute graphic detail right so that it could pass for photo-realistic and what the game would have to sell for to earn it's money back? I don't see it happening anytime in the near future, just because of the work involved, not because it isn't technically possible.
  5. How can you "make" a seller put a lower BIN on an item? You say an AA moderator fucked you over? *clutches pearls in disbelief*
  6. Hi, What are some of the best online/offline stores to buy classic game sized eproms 32-128k+? I did a google search and I get about a million results. Why would I want to buy used ones? Is the price difference really that great? Downsides of buying used ones? They seem fragile, the pins could easily break off. What is a good price for an Eprom eraser? I saw some plans online for building your own using a UV light from an aquarium store. Not worth the effort? Thanks
  7. That must be very new. When I just looked up that address a couple weeks ago none of that was there. I don't think people will get too excited at the chance to play Amazing Bumpman and Gust Buster. How about licensing some of the good games or just making a small, inexpensive CV clone with a cart port and a multicart like the Famicom clones.
  8. Has anyone here heard anything official? I've read that it's backwards compatible but I've also read it's only backwards compatible with GBA games and not any of the GBC or B&W games.
  9. Check out this ftp site. There's tons of stuff, in different formats though, original, MESS, V9t9. ftp://ftp.whtech.com/ There's a ton more stuff here. It's in v9t9 format I think. I can get a lot of TI99 games to run on MESS but I don't understand how to use the v9t9 emu at all. If anyone knows how to use v9t9 I'd appreciate any help. There's alot of cool stuff here but right now I can't use it. http://mitglied.lycos.de/Bromosel/Ti99/99down.htm Micheal Fox's page is back up but he hasn't added the TI99 stuff to it yet. He used to be THE source. Hopefully soon.
  10. Some Atari Jaguars make a hissing noise. See the FAQ.
  11. I didn't have a cart like that. I had a Sean Kelly cart. Is that a Greg Woodcock made cart? If you're Vectrex goes out of calibration, the text can be drawn all squished, flattened or reversed and the other vector game graphics can appear fine. Mine had slightly stretched text till I adjusted it. If you open it up there are pots on the circuit board you can adjust. I don't know why the text would fade out after 20 seconds though. Did you try it with any other carts?
  12. It's nothing. Just somebody who bought it (from Multimedia 1.0?) hoping to resell the name brand at a profit.
  13. Sweet! 19 Anson Street Jamaica Plain MA 02130 See ya there!
  14. I believe there is a big difference in quality between the original JPN made Saturns and the later ones made elsewhere(Tailand, China?).
  15. Just bypass the RF out. I'm sure you can convert it to RGB, composite and/or S-video.
  16. I've never seen one myself but it's from the same era and you see tons of Famicom and MD clones for sale.
  17. For use with the CV? I know they sold them back in the day but I never see them for sale now, new or used. I've tried using a DB-9 Y cable made for the PC but it doesn't work, like maybe not all the pins pass through. It also has plug housings that are too large to fit into the controller jack holes.
  18. Someone might think it's ok because Atari went out of business. What is the Ladybug demo?
  19. http:// http://klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&ga..._id=10219[/url] It says it wasn't even released. Never made it past prototype stage.
  20. Any Williams game. I used to avoid any game from Williams in the arcade since they were all made so much more difficult than any other games in the arcade.
  21. You mean one of those white INTV computers? I bought one at a garage sale years ago. They don't fetch that much $$ last time I checked. When I sold mine I didn't get much money for it. Don't sweat it, it's not a big loss.
  22. Oh come on, I know it's "cool" to bash the 32X, but the 32X was not bad at all IMO. True, it was overpriced and was a stopgap between the Gen and Saturn but it wasn't crappy and certainly not in the league of Virtual Boy. VB is bad, poorly designed hardware. The 32X has Star Wars Arcade, Shadow Squadron, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, arcade perfect versions of Space Harrier and Afterburner. At the price it was blown out for it was well worth it just for those games.
  23. The Atomiswave is supposedly just another form of the DC/Naomi hardware.
