  1. I wasn't sure about FF. I've never seen a boxed copy of it in my life. There is also some software that you can use to create your own Jeopardy questions. They may have something like it for FF too.
  2. I never even bothered keeping track of prototype utilities since I don't use it for that and don't care. Super Cabbage Patch Kids exists, I have it. It's supposedly 128k, doesn't look it though. I haven't played it that much but I've spotted some differences in the obstacles you jump over and the backgrounds. There's also Super Dam Busters, Super Front Line (demo), Troll's Tale, Family Feud, Temple of Apshai, I think there's some Zork text adventures. I recall hearing about some Super version of a Smurf game. The version of Tunnels and Trolls out there now is just an animated title screen.
  3. I know it's already taken here, but what about in Australia.
  4. The Sticky Joystick Out of Order TILT FOR RENT
  5. Why do Nintendo monitors invert the colors? Just to be dicks and force you to buy their proprietary replacement parts?
  6. Someone posted on here that the Multi-Kong cabs/cocktails/boards they're selling for $1,500+ with DK, DK jr, Frogger etc on it are cheap PSX bootleg boards with a poor version of MAME running on it. The real Multi-Kong hack with DK and DK Jr on it has sound issues because the two games have different sound hardware.
  7. I know the Intellicart is no longer available. Are there any other options out there to do the same kind of thing? An sio2pc type cable thingy?
  8. It outputs RGB signals. Do a search on superguns. I just want to find a copy of that one rom so I can try it out on MAME. It doesn't seem to be available outside of that kit.
  9. SHIT!!!! $200!!!! When I listed a CV I had A/V modded, either no one cared or knew what that meant at the time. I think I was barely able to get $65.
  10. I've used this stuff before to strip paint that looks like white paste. It's got concentrated orange citric acid in it. Worked well to soften up the paint and has no vapors and is non-flammable.
  11. I don't know what triggers it. It was on the ground, where an egg would be. I was playing it using MEKA and I opened up the 'tile viewer' tool you can use to see all the character art and sure enough, it's in there. You can check it yourself.
  12. I was playing the ColecoVision version of Joust and I noticed there was a little tombstone on the screen. What is this? What triggers it? I assume this is also in the arcade version but I've never seen it in the arcade version.
  13. Also, are there any benefits to one over the other in terms of image quality etc.? Is one more susceptable to burn-in?
  14. What is your prefered method? Do you use an old/original RGB monitor and use an ArcadeVGA card, do you use a VGA arcade monitor or just a regular PC monitor? I see these VGA arcade monitors for sale. Are they any different than just a regular PC monitor, other than that metal frame they have? Is it cheaper and easier to just to use a standard PC monitor or are there too many problems getting it to sit right in the cab?
  15. Great deal! I was always semi-interested in these Exidy games because there's so many other cool games that can run on that hardware;Chiller, Crossbow, Cheyenne etc..
  16. How does inserting a small PC into the cab and hooking it up the monitor "destroy" a classic machine. You don't have to do any permanent alterations to do this. You don't have to throw away the original PCB.
  17. I can't believe a classic videogame store doesn't have a CV on hand to try it out and list the games. I know, that would take valuable time to do, but posting here doesn't. Don't sweat it guys, plenty more CV multicarts are on the way this summer.
  18. It's the 32 in 1 cart, so all the games on it are going to be 16k or less, so that rules out many games like Spy Hunter, Tapper etc. that are larger than 16k.
  19. Manci games failure isn't an indicator of anything IMO. Most active classic game collectors are already on the net and probably already know much of what they covered or can find the info for free using a search engine. I don't see how ANY new magazine has a future, let alone one catering to a small niche of collectors. I hope that classic game collecting not only fails to go mainstream but causes the hobby to shrink as well. What is the motivation for the people who want to publicize and mainstream the hobby? To make money selling magazines or to somehow get validation for how they spent their time and money? I don't see how it's beneficial to us unless you're planning on unloading your entire collection to speculators.
  20. Could it just be that your playing a bad version of Galaxian? What version are you playing, a home port or MAME? I like Galaxian better than Galaga. I'm sure part of it is that I'm totally burnt out on Galaga. I see original Galaga machines everywhere I go, all the time, and now with the new Galaga/Ms.Pac repros it's in even more places. You hardly ever see a Galaxian machine. Galaxian has much cooler sound effects, a much cooler cab and artwork and it's more laid back fun than frantic action. Galaga arcade pisses me off how once you reach a certain level, they kamikazee right into you from above and below and when you lose the twin-ships guns your game is basically over.
