  1. Are those really samples in the Sewer Sam games or did the programmer program in the speech phenomes ala Berzerk?
  2. You can get the colored DC cases off ebay or through most online game stores/import shops. You shouldn't pay more than $15 for one. Be carefull when replacing your DC case!! I destroyed my first DC when doing this. The screws for the DC that hold the case to the PCB are just a hair longer than others. I got them messed up and screwed a 13.5mm screw into a hole required a 12mm screw. They don't look that different to the eye but the other screw was just long enough to reach down and scratch off microfine traces on the PCB right near a main chip, rendering my DC dead. I wouldn't change my DC case again if I had to do it over. Expensive learning experience.
  3. The WS has a decent selection of classic games. I've seen: Crazy Climber Space Invaders Ghouls and Ghosts Lode Runner Mr. Driller Seemed like a cool system but beyond these English friendly games, everything else seemed like it required you to know Japanese.
  4. Somebody please host DC PBA Bowling as well.
  5. I've been tempted to buy one of these but I read that they're super unreliable and prone to starting themselves on fire. Has anyone ever come up with a solution to make these monitors reliable? Are these for tech-heads only who want to deal with the repairs?
  6. Planetweb still has their SS game save page up from way back. You can request any game save and have it sent to you via email and download it into your SS. They also have the last, unreleased version of the SS browser for dL. I wonder if this can be made bootable from a cd instead of dling it everytime you go online. http://www.planetweb.com/gamexch/
  7. I'm going to release a GBA worm-light attachment that contains a black-light bulb.
  8. If helps if you tell people what system your games are for.
  9. I used to have a bunch of other games in an earlier version of MAME but sometimes when I upgrade to a new rev. they don't show up in the menu, even though I never changed the name of the rom in the rom folder. I can't get the Midway version of Burgertime to show up, no matter what, and I'm using the naming conventions listed at the MAME site. btime and btimem do not work. For some reason I can get the Data East DECO version to work though. Any clues?
  10. I've seen a site or two that are about people hacking/coding on the NG MVS hardware. I know that SNK/Playmore have dropped support for the system but are there any reasons that others couldn't continue to release new games for the hardware? Is encryption a problem?
  11. Does anyone else get the feeling this person runs a stand at a flea market on the weekends?
  12. cut your flea market/thrift shop competitors brake cables when they're not looking. tee hee..
  13. I usually offer free shipping on CD's, DVD's, CD games, loose carts etc. It only costs me about a $1 to ship it. Even if I have to eat the $1-$1.50 in shipping, I make it up by gaining more bidding action from bidders who don't want to pay $6-$8 shipping for a DC game.
  14. Does anyone know what the deal is with their version of MC3D? Is that the Jag game with a FMV intro or a completely different version on non-Jag hardware? Are those games, Zone Hunter and Dactyl ?, the same or similar to games planned for the Jag?
  15. What's truly sad, misguided, geeky and more than a little creepy is to listen to some people who elevate someone like SK to a Christ-like status and won't allow any one to criticize them, even if it's warranted, just because they made a game cart or something in the past. SK wasn't the first to make a Vec multicart, wasn't the best and won't be the last. Like Rob Mitchell said, it wasn't that good. Could you guys swing from his nuts any harder?
  16. Sewer Sam is a much better game IMO, though very different from Squish'em.
  17. Because of these gas prices, I've had to switch from Baluga caviar to Osetra caviar. Feel my pain.
  18. How does putting MAME in it render it now non-working/ruined? You can put it all back. A single use game cab that won't get much use because it only has one game in it isn't as cool IMO. Is adding a multi-pac/multi-galaxian/multi-DK mod "ruining" a classic machine?
  19. Yeah, I'm aware of several that have come out since Coleco pulled the plug but it's hardly anything compared to the amount seen for Atari systems. I don't know why all these Atari protos managed to leak out. Coleco developers either had ultra tight security or no one is looking for them.
  20. According to the CV FAQ, these are the only games Telegames owns the rights to: These are the same games Telegames included in their Personal Arcade software for the PC.
  21. Has anyone seen or tried the Metal Slug game I've seen listed as a Ngage game? I think it may be just a Java based game and not made specifically for Ngage.
  22. What's the deal? It seems like every month another 5200 and 2600 proto surfaces yet you hardly ever hear about new CV protos. Looking at the CV FAQ, there were lots of games in the pipeline when the crash hit. Is it just that there are way fewer CV collectors out there looking for them compared to the number of 2600 collectors?
  23. Arcadian Virtual Reality, L.L.C. has purchased the rights from Cybermind UK to produce the SU2000 and SU3000 Virtuality machines. They are for sale and actually in stock now. I wonder if they'll sell you just the headset. http://www.arcadianvr.com/Default.htm
