    For the first time in about 3 years I checked the prices on NES games today and was surprised to see that most common games are now selling for half what they were a few years ago. It's really relieving to see the bubble deflating on at least one portion of the retro gaming market.

      Not all are good. Many years ago it was easy to get CHeetahmen2 sealed for about $50. Today it's a lot more for game that are unplayable.

    Pay for USPS priority mail shipping at $38.60. Item is sent FedEx at $24.44. Not a great way to start. Hopefully just an "oops" moment where I am refunded $14.16 and the item still arrives safely.

      If it was sent FedEx ground, it may take a few days longer than if it was shipped Priority mail. If this was on eBay and the package was late, you can ding seller 1 or 2 stars on shipping or give neutural "Paid for Priority shipping, seller used slower ground service"

      Go to post office with tracking # and ask them. If they say it's addressed to a different name/address then seller may be pulling a scam. If the address matches your ID, then delivery guy may be clueless and lost or slacking and shitty.

    Just when I thought I was done getting attachments for my model 2 Genesis after adding the 32X and Sega CD, I'm now on the hunt for a Master System Converter II. It is kind of amazing though, that one 90's system could play 4 different kinds of games decades before the Retron 5 came along.

      I got a better date, in a few more years there's a total from Mexico through US to Maine before ending in Atlantic. Extreme south part of Michigan will see totality.

      My PC may be in a state of decay at about 6 years old but it still smokes anything Best Buy and Walmart can offer. 2700k was a very good CPU capable of running at 5GHz.

      Remember Houston? No evacuation because it was already too late to move 6 million people on short notices. If you can, take pets and irreplaceable items like photo and birth certs, insurance and title stuff, some clothing, and head out now. The sooner you go, the less chance of being stuck in freeways.

    DVD was released 20 years ago this year. The first DVD movie's release date is closer to Atari 2600 release date than it is to us today

      I jumped in DVD a little later, 2001 when I decided to try it. My first player was a GE branded 3 disc player. Right now I have a sony 400 disc player and my gripe is no one makes 1000+ disc player.

      Any of you check his other auction? He has a bunch of Odyssey 2 joysticks that are listed as Atari compatible. AFAIK the pinout is completely different, it won't work at all.

      Those are probably the ones that came with later Flashback console and is 100% Atari compatible. AFAIK only the first Flashback were NoaC

    I finally had to quit watching American Pickers tonight. They were spouting off such huge prices for old arcade games that I couldn't watch anymore. Frank was saying a working Pong is worth $2500 to $5000. Really?!

      That's how they rope in more suckers, people who has a few vintage arcade cabs goes contacting them to get on TV and quick money. 99.9% of people won't see them though and if they try eBay or CL route, they'll get laughed at.
