  1. Atari (as well as C64 and many other) has 5v on pin 7 and paddle on pin 5/9 so quite often Genesis controller doesn't work right depending on how the console used pin 5.
  2. I know this thread's a few months old but I am just catching up to this flash cart. I didn't see all the details. Will it: work with 2600 games on 7800 system or do I need to keep Harmony for that?
  3. Genesis controller uses a bit of shifting to emulate 6 button controller, even if you use 3 button controller. It is not 100% perfect Atari-compatible controller.
  4. I like to have a variable temp station, better control. I got one from Radio Shack last year: http://www.radioshack.com/radioshack-digital-soldering-station/6400053.html they were on sale $20 off and I had a coupon $40 off any one soldering iron in stock so I paid about as much as a cheap one Mostly it's set to 320°C for regular work and I have 2 buttons set for other temps, one at 150 for when I need a short break but don't want to shut it off. I also have a spool of 20 conductor ribbon cable that I got off eBay for only $20 oh about a decade ago. It was originally 500 feet and still has a lot left. It's probably worth more as scrap copper by now if I burned off all the plastic but I'll keep it as I always need nice ribbon cable.
  5. Wario Land and Galactic pinball are probably the best 2 games you have. A working VB with controller, battery pack, and stand is probably around $50 or so. $100 for whole lot is probably a good price.
  6. Wow Cracker... the poster from hell person. Now that I haven't seen in oh about a decade when USENET was the social place to be in. Is he still around on any forum?
  7. http://www.amazon.com/Universal-System-Selector-Pro-Sony-PSP/dp/B0001GAYUE Found one at local Goodwill for only $4.99 Won't replace my existing switch boxes but this one features component and can be used on newer consoles and DVD player.
  8. Hmmm happens I have a PCMCIA card case. Guess I'll have to dig up my really old laptop that hadn't been used since Windows 98 was retired and toss away the old 56K PC card modem for the case.
  9. Zelda II - 3DS Sudoku - 3DS Zelda: MM - 3DS Wish I could keep more Zelda games. I have Ambassador system with every released Zelda (including Minish Cap) plus 2 DS games. The only non-Wii Zelda game I am missing are the ALttP (SNES and GBA) and 4 Sword Adventure (the 4 Sword Adventure game, not the one Nintendo offered for 3DS, free a few times)
  10. Could be done. Just ask and someone with soldering experience and time could pick up the LCD mod and a spare working Lynx, put it together, and sell it to you. I'd offer but my cutting skill is second only to 3 year old with plastic scissors. I know I will have ugly looking hack when I try to install VGA port.
  11. The seller probably promised to leave toilet seat *down* every time and not pester her to take care of dirty dishes if she agreed to show off her blossoms to sell video games.
  12. I do remember seeing boxed Mario Tennis at Best Buy when VB was killed by Nintendo. I didn't check for retail display wording at the time as I wasn't into VB until a few days later when I found new VB systems for $30 a pop. (wished I got more, darn thing breaks easy)
  13. Sorry, missed the email link to send payment! Payment sent today!!
  14. Looks like the Got Milk edition but the seller's an idiot. A true Got Milk edition is all white.
  15. eBay listing seems to be missing. Maybe they didn't like the mod?
  16. Still waiting for my turn on the LCD. Got money burning and no address to send it to.
  17. A1 795008311 Hole in side of the shell for expansion but no connector. Probably one of the earliest 7800 without connector?
  18. Since the case is mostly the same as CD case, with just a black tray for cart holding rather than 2 piece clear tray for CD holding plus back insert. They can recycle front cover easily from cheap chinese CD cases. I am in need of just one to protect my Everdrive when not in use for a while.
  19. I must be in the minority that likes blue LED. But it can't be so bright I get question from FAA and FBI investigating possible illegal laser pointing at planes. If I am going to mod older consoles, it will be using red and green LED. Older, low brightness LED aren't easily found these day but with modern high efficiency (and eye-blinding bright) LED it can be tamed by increasing resistor value a lot. For example, a typical hi-e red LED may do best with 220 ohms resistor on 5v rail but a 1k resistor will bring that down to almost the same as old 1980's era LED. (not to mention usually they last a long time on lower voltage/current)
  20. Forgot about Intellivision II. EXEC used on Intellivision II blocked a few Coleco games and in the process fubared a few of their own game. A few games had issue with sound and one game won't work. Oops.
  21. I checked, there doesn't appear to be an option for seller to block bidder who had xx bid retractions within the last yy months. We can block buyer who had NPB strike (2 or more in 1 year is the best) but nothing on retractions. If eBay were to implement that and make it default on all existing seller accounts, he would suddenly find himself all alone, and rolling a new account to get around blocks can result in suspensions.
  22. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 231488150582 that poor Famicom system. I think the seller goes dumpster diving somewhere in the landfill.
  23. I wish I knew of this when it was still available. I am not shelling out $400 for one on scamBay.
  24. Would love to have it but no place to store it. Hope someone takes a good care of it!
  25. There was a 15" 4:3 LCD monitor for PC that had built in rotate mechansim. One of the early HP monitor.
