    He'll always be one of my favorite guys in the gaming biz for giving Rich Whitehouse permission to release BigPEmu publicly. Like Rich said "that's a real gesture of love" and I'll never forget it.

    Yeah, I get that. Atari in my mind is about simple games that are fun. No mascots required.

    Atari doesn’t suffer a bit from lack of characters/symbols. Atari was an era when gaming was about neon lights and new wave music, basically it’s own thing.it was a time before cartoon mascots and an endless line of me too platformers.

    Wow. Nice grab for someone.. I had one of these briefly till I plugged a Colecovision power supply into it and fried it to death.

    This 100%! Even though I had computers in the house I still played my Colecovision all the way up until the Genesis release.

    Thanks for this post, it gives me a good template to describe my experience back in the day. I was oblivious to the crash also. I remember purchasing a few Colecovision games in the bargain bins at the mall. All under $5. The one that stands out the most was Pepper 2. 2nd part. After I saved up enough cash my father matched dollar for dollar so I can get a new 800 XL. My same reaction,wow so much better then my old consoles. 1986—87 Holy cow my new Atari ST is amazing! For me it wasn’t ET or Pac-Man that killed gaming for me. It was the upgrade to the new computers.

    Bump. Yup. Can confirm.. meet @FibroFreak78 in person for a trade a few months ago. Great trade and went the extra miles (literally) to make it work. BTW: that Pac-Man collection is beautiful 😍.

    Darn I missed out on my new favorite jag game. My own fault.. I played a game of Biopede for the heck of it, scored 17,410 on advanced setting. Such a great game.. control, graphics and music.
