Hmm, they told me about $80 when I asked them earlier...
  2. As above, this is a very common problem with the Lynx 1. To the point, I pretty much assume batteries will get stuck when I put them in. Usually, you can just loosen the two screws at the end where the batteries are jammed, and maybe give it a firm tap on that end, and normally they pop out.
  3. Weirdly, I just discovered these exact ones the other day, too. For $8 it seems a pretty good deal. They say they will be making them for the Lynx 1 also.
  4. Wikipedia also cites an AP article which says half a million/500k had been sold in 1990. That'd mean selling no more for the rest of it's lifespan. I'd trust the AP over that book any day. http://www.apnewsarchive.com/1991/Sega-Woos-Game-Boy-Lynx-Users-With-32-Color-Hand-Held-Video-System/id-a1288531efff2f9504f70dbcd9f8b6cc Though that means to reach 3 million, it would have meant it kept that pace through til 1995, which also seems unlikely.
  5. By my read... we're just the pins away from Hanoi being ready? That right Der Luchs?
  6. Well the release numbers at least suggest it's next...
  7. Another option is to pick up a faulty Lynx on eBay for spares. You can pick em up for about $30 (I've bought a few recently). This is more expensive than just buying the door obviously, but if you get a decent one, you have a bunch of other spares you can mine from it. Alternatively, you can then resell the doorless Lynx back on eBay... which might save you some money, but would obviously cost you more time.
  8. Basically this. I started off all innocent... "just gonna collect the official releases"... then got a bit obsessed. The problem is, it's impossible to get everything because there's always a level above, and it gets like an addiction.
  9. I don't know if I've ever seen a regular (if you mean curved lip) Krazy Ace. I've seen green PCBs and black ones though...
  10. Cheapest cart on eBay (also happens to be in NL) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Atari-Lynx-Bill-Teds-Excellent-Adventure-cartridge-only-/232307109567?hash=item3616952ebf:g:3esAAOSwo4pYeQ4v EDIT: Ah I read Holland and took it very literally. Try this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Skweek-Complete-Atari-Lynx-1991-/222471156983?hash=item33cc5074f7:g:BrkAAOSw03lY7Sd4
  11. Is it possible to add estimated release dates to all the games to the first post maybe? Save people like me constantly asking. If not.. when does Weltenschlacter/Yastuna go on sale
  12. My understanding is that Monster Demolition is what eventually became Rampage. When Epyx was making demo games, but didn't yet have the IP license or some such. Am sure someone else can confirm, but a little more info here: http://www.chrismcovell.com/secret/OTH_1989Q3.html
  13. Interesting, what are you using for Option 1/2? (If that's start and select, what about pause?).
  14. Yeah, I think a more complete version of AvP will sell plenty.
  15. Are there similar cables available online? I recently moved so don't have my stash of connectors and cables etc. Or... maybe you could help a brother out and make/sell me one
  16. Nice! Different pins for each game? Or the same one for all. Either is great, though. Really impressed with what you're doing.
  17. Ugh, do I need to buy this again just to get the new box art and cart design...
  18. I can possibly help with Spanish if needed.
  19. How much to mod one of my broken Lynxes for me? That's what I want to know
  20. One just sold on eBay a few days ago as it happens, for a steal (just over $20 iirc). Annoying, as I paid more for mine. But yeah, they are rare. I got mine via a Japanese auction site. I've only seen maybe 3 on sale in the last two years.
