  1. Looks good Selgus. Are you able to share any information about the game you are working on?
  2. Epic work. Reminds me of when I had a SNES back in the day. I made a video of all the endings for games then.. man I'd love to find that tape now.
  3. Just checking if there's a two-player mode. You didn't mention it, so guessing not, but good to know for sure (cos then I guess many would want two copies). Thanks!
  4. That's more or less all there is to know. One the cross part of the pad is separate, the other, it's attached to the plastic circle around it. I own models with both, and there's not a huge different in terms of play, though I slightly prefer the separate one (the top in your pictures). I can't remember if it's also related to the Lynx model with different colour buttons. Some Lynx 1's have grey buttons, matching the body. Others have black. Unfortunately my Lynxes are thousands of miles away so I can't check what the combinations are.
  5. Starting to think this is gonna be the best year for the Lynx since... well, maybe ever.
  6. And doesn't play nice with the McWill mod. Or so I hear...
  7. Yep, I'd like a copy too. Thanks!
  8. eBay seller "techbabe" often has them and ships to UK. Though none listed right now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=techbabe&_sop=10&_dmd=1&_osacat=0&_ipg=200&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xlynx.TRS0&_nkw=lynx&_sacat=0 Not sure if the shipping cost makes it viable though. Another option is to look out for a broken/spares or repair Lynx for cheap, and just pop the screen off of that one. You can then keep the rest for other spare bits too.
  9. Not sure how feasible this is... but I wondered how easy it would be to build some sort of engine/library/framework/template even for text-based adventure games. Sure, it's not the most exciting format. But, if it's a case of a few different sprite/scenery images etc, and some text files and logic/decision flow (if yes, go to X if no go to Y). Hikachi's post about "Unseen" had me thinking about this basically when they said about the game engine being done. That way, I could come up with a story, and different outcomes etc. Then basically static graphics, maybe the odd moving thing, and some music? Not saying that's easy, but... easier?

Yep, the classic "yips". You're basically cruising along like a boss, then you become aware you're about to best your record, and involuntary twitch right into a pipe.

@Tonma, are you planning a more formal release? Or is there a way to tip you for your work on this?

Yup, I'm in Oakland, and I think mine was sent on the 13th and arrived today (in a lovely festive envelope).
  13. This sounds interesting. Your box art kinda reminds me of "Another World / Out of this World". Obviously excited about any new game, but something with long total play time or with ways to re-play it differently would be amazing. Not that you should be taking requests! (just putting it out there though).
  14. I thought I read on another thread that the ones that shut the lynx off were less common? Though I may be mistaken. I'm pretty sure that the Blue Lightning demo cart is designed to play endlessly and will somewhat load the CPU if you can find a ROM of that. It's not exactly what you're asking for as you still need a camera, but maybe a workable solution for now? Until someone offers to make the stopwatch with output features that you want. Easy enough to find the point where the battery dies if you open the video in an editor and look for when the sound stops etc.

It got here today, so maybe 9 days from sending? Not bad! Plays great. I mean annoying. Like it's meant to be.
  16. I guess the short answer is to buy one of SainT's LynxSD multicarts. One cart... all the games you want on it?

Heh, I stuck in for one too. I'm currently in the US though, so if you need more $ for shipping let me know. Or I can provide a Europe address also.
  18. Great stuff, looking forward to it (and Weltenschlächter, which hasn't arrived here in the US yet).
  19. Yeah it took me a while to realise that there are two versions of this pouch. Sometimes it's listed as either just a pouch, or a pouch for the Lynx II, but is actually the larger one. You can tell by looking at the pockets, and the amount of space underneath it. Obviously, there's a longer space between the bottom pouch and the bottom of the case on the Lynx I model (which also fits the Lynx II obv). All this to say, there may be other listings for Lynx I pouches that aren't listed as such.

  21. Semi serious.... feeling like this might make a sweet sleeve tattoo.

yeah, I'd be down for a cart. Why not eh.
  23. You're all set for the release of WELTENSCHLÄCHTER 2 at least.
