  1. Ah crap. Mine just said I'd get an email with payment link. No email, nada. Maybe I just missed out?
  2. Yep, ordered! I got a "success" message, but wasn't asked for payment, and haven't received an email yet... that right? Anyone else get the same?

    FlappyBird test

Results from my Lynx 2. When I tested the landscape version, I have to tap the button incredibly fast just to keep steady, and basically can't fly higher or lower. On the portrait version it feels like the bird is being pulled down too by too much gravity. The collisions don't work (it just flies past pipes) and if you let go, the bird drops off the bottom of the screen and appears at the top again/repeat like it's falling through a portal. (Just feedback in case handy). Also, Level42, don't you have the crazy lynx that you can alter the clock speed on? Did you leave it all the way up

    Lynx 1 or 2

Agh, the box for the sun visor for the Lynx one is something I am missing from my collection. I have both sunvisors, but the Lynx 1 version is hard to find with its box (prettier than the black and white Lynx 2's). Cherish it!
  5. Hah, yes I saw this go around after the phone launch too... I just meant that it would also be compatible... ah nvm..
  6. Technically, that's compatible with the Lynx as is?
  7. Yeah, back in the day I really wanted Viking Child for that exact reason. Was a big wonderboy fan. I've tried to get into it a few times, but find the difficulty level makes it less fun. It's not incredibly hard, just enough that you can get annoyed with it quickly (especially when you add in the sluggish controls).
  8. Well if you own both, the risk is highest, as crazily the ports are the opposite way round on each one, so you get used to jamming the power cable in the left port on the Lynx II, move over to Lynx I then... fzzzzffzzz
  9. Ugh, so jealous. You are embarking on the best part of Lynx collecting when everything is really exciting. Discovering new games every day (I am still discovering new games). Hunting for unknown places and websites to buy/find rare games, waiting on eBay for that CIB Ninja Gaiden III that isn't over priced and hustling for that Krazy Ace Golf you think/hope no one else has seen on eBay (they have). Then, half way through, thinking "I don't just want every game, I want everything boxed" so re-buying a few titles. Then maybe considering going for all the variants (big box Electrocop, and BOTH small box versions (with, without grey bar) etc). Then, suddenly, the French blister pack versions start looking more appealing. Or the enamel badges. And then there are the Japanese versions of some of the games. Oh my.
  10. Yup, I've ordered a few of those two from this seller and never had any problems. Did they not respond?
  11. Ooooh. k. Well, er. Might depend on the carts? Zaku should be labeled already, unless you burnt a ROM?
  12. Have a look at this thread, there are pdf's for many of the games you mention, you just need to print them on good card etc. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/239286-custom-boxes/
  13. Here, along with other handy hints/warp locations. https://atariage.com/software_hints.php?SoftwareLabelID=1856
  14. It's only $50 mate, for a team that's delivered before. No one wants to lose $50, obv, but it's far from insanity.
  15. I love platformers, but never really liked Scrapyard Dog. But, after reading this thread, I gave it another go, and might stick with it. It's not perfect, but interesting to know there's a bit more to it than meets the eye.
  16. I'm not a huge fan of the game itself, but always loved the music for Electrocop: And Shadow of the Beast is both a great game and has good music: (In game better than the intro) Notable mention to the between-level music of Pitfighter too. It may divide opinions as a game, but love the moody bits after a fight finishes (the rest of the music is plop).
  17. I guess it was more a limitation of the 160 x 102 screen resolution. You can't add more detail than what's available in pixels. The game gear might not have had the same graphics muscle, but at 160 x 144, you can draw much more detail. I was always jealous of the basic graphics of the GG. If the Lynx had had the same resolution along with its scaling powers etc, it would have been immense.
  18. Makes me sad every time I see this.
  19. My "fatty" D-pad Lynx 1 is also made in Japan: W2015021610 (PAG-0201) My "skinny" D-pad Lynx 1 is Taiwan: Y20A5008385 (PAG-0200)
  20. The Lynx one can have one of two types of D-Pad. The slim one, I believe, is usually a black cross on a grey circle, and just the cross (up/down/left/right) is a moving part. The circle around it is fixed. The fat one is usually all one color? And is all one part, so the circular plate around the cross is built in. Not sure if that makes sense. Skinny: http://www.old-computers.com/museum/photos/atari_lynx_1.jpg Fat: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/0/3104/417046-atari_lynx_1.jpg
  21. I hope not as easy for those being patient to end up way down the list (PS, but if it is like this, then add me etcetc).
  22. Thanks! I guess it was too good to imagine R-Type was a playable game (I'm sure I'd have heard of it earlier otherwise). I also realised I misread the OP, skipping the word "tunes" completely.
  23. R-Type and Splatter house too please!?
  24. I actually like that Bill & Ted was something totally different. It's the nearest thing to a Zelda-ish RPG on the Lynx. Agree, it's probably not what most people were expecting, but glad it's there.
  25. Now I'm sad about Guardians: Storm over Doria/Distant Lands never happening all over again. Would love to see that project revived.
