They can usually be bought for 5 EUR in an electronic store. You don't need a specific USB-C power supply though - just use a normal USB power supply where you can connect a USB cable and get a USB -> USB-C cable Most users have such power supplies at home (for example, from mobile phones, etc.) Yes, it works with any model.

Aaaand here is an update: PCBs should be finished early December, boxes will arrive here December 8th, cases will be finished December 6th (all details according to the manufacturer). So we're in time for christmas! We will ship them as soon as we receive them, but we can't assure you that it will arrive everywhere in the world before christmas if you've chosen the cheapest shipping service. We're getting there

There are no certification numbers. CE is a self-certification which never had any numbers and for FCC, the device falls under the category FCC DoC (Part 15), so it's a self-certification as well. We'll give a 2 years warranty, either a fix or refund.

Yes, I can confirm Console5 plans to stock them. Price should be roughly the same, as they get a discount from me.
-
Sure, I still got a few prototypes here. PM me your address and I'll send one to you.
-
BTW: In case anyone who ordered only had expensive shipping services available: I now also added untracked shipping via postal mail. This is slower, but a lot cheaper (it does cost 3,70 EUR worldwide!) Let me know if you'd like to switch to the cheaper shipping costs. I initially forgot to add that shipping method - that's why it was so expensive for you guys. Sorry about that! But of course, any distributors are welcome

A lot of here probably already know about that adaptor, but as it has now been tested thoroughly and is now in production, I thought I'd open up a new thread as well. Please let me know if you have any further questions - and I'll try to answer them as good as possible. What is the ColecoPlug? The ColecoPlug is a small adapter which you can plug into your original Colecovision (where you usually plug in the original power supply). This small plug enables you to use a standard USB-C power supply (like the ones used with smartphones) to power your Colecovision (or any accessories that use the same power supply as well). As it's hard these days to find power supplies for the Colecovision, this is a great way to keep your system alive. And it works worldwide, regardless the region! How does it work? The adapter has an up-converter as well as a voltage stabilizer included. It uses the 5V it gets from the USB power supply, stabilizes it and creates stable 5V, -5V and +12V from it which powers the Colecovision. As the Colecovision needs quite a bit of power, you need to use a proper USB power supply as well. Any power supply providing 2A or higher should work without any issues. Thanks to the voltage stabilized, even cheap USB power supplies that provide less than 5V work fine - but it's still suggested to use a good one. Has this been tested? Yes, of course! Multiple users here from the AtariAge boards have received prototypes and tested them with various Colecovisions. Modded and unmodded, with accessories and without and from various regions. It works without problems. Also, we presented it at our booth at the GamesCom in Germany where it powered a Colecovision 10 hours a day for 5 days. No crash, nothing! CE / FCC testing has also been finished already. In case you're interested in the testing results, I've attached them to this post. You can also see a quick video of an early prototype here: How much does it cost and where can I get it? It's around 35 EUR without VAT and excluding shipping, and you'll get a bit off when you order 2 or more adapters. You can preorder it here: https://www.dragonbox.de/en/703-colecoplug-usb-power-supply-for-the-colecovision-preorder-ac-adaptors.html How many will be produced? We're planning a production run of 500, however, if there is a lot of demand, we'll likely produce more. Got questions? Let me know here em-6569.pdf

As the production has been started, preordering has now also started! As soon as I get an exact date from the production facility, I'll let you know - but it should be around December 2018. Price is around 35 EUR (without VAT), but you can get a discount ordering 2 - 4 and an even higher discount if you order 5 or more. You can preorder here: https://www.dragonbox.de/en/703-colecoplug-usb-power-supply-for-the-colecovision-preorder-ac-adaptors.html You're welcome the share the word, of course

Probably around 30 - 35 EUR.

Nope, won't be too long and the production has already been started - so they will happen (just didn't find the time to put them on the website yet).

Was simply stuffed wirh work - planning to prepare the preorder this week. Sent from my Gemini 4G using Tapatalk

Soon. I'm waiting for the quotation from different companies.BTW: we have the adapter running here at GamesCom exhibition since Tuesday from 9am to 8pm without a break. Works perfect
-
Okay, great, thanks for your opinions. I've sent the PCB data to multiple production facilities to get the best price. Once I know it, I'll setup the preorder page - and then we're off to go. BTW: If you happen to visit the GamesCom in Cologne this year: I'll be there and have the adapter with me
-
Okay, CE/FCC tests have been done today and the adapter passed So it's time to prepare the production (finally ) Just a quick question: Do you think an Indiegogo / Kickstarter would be good (gives a better coverage) or should I just setup a preorder myself and start the production?
-
Yes, we can do that as well. Just let me know when we're ready and I'll send you a voucher code for that
-
You aren't, and I'm sorry for not replying (I simply didn't find the time and later forgot about it).I've started an inquiry but that can take weeks and I haven't heard anything yet. Thankfully, we had 8 other users who received it and for all of them the adapter was working great and without any issues, so everything has been tested and is working fine. I guess I'll simply send you another one as compensation for the lack of replies even though a test is not needed anymore. Sent from my Moto Z using Tapatalk

Yes. CE/FCC certification is set for Aug. 8th and then I can start the mass production (which usually takes a couple of weeks). I'll probably do a free preorder soon, so I know how many I need to produce. Sent from my Moto Z using Tapatalk

For the Colecovision? If you need it right now, I could sell you a prototype upfront (which should be mostly be the final version incl. case).

I often stock HyperKin products in shop (in Germany). I'll see if I can stock it Sent from my Moto Z using Tapatalk
