  1. Hey all! I have a bunch more boxed games up on eBay right now, and all are still at REALLY cheap prices (less than $3 a piece!). They end on Wednesday, so check them out soon... http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/scolin/
  2. Cassidy- I have dealt with a user named incurable_gamer, but not incureable_gamer, so I don't know if this is the same person or not. Anyhow, he was a good eBay'er in my book. Bought several boxed 2600 games, paid quickly, and stayed in touch with me through the auction. Hope this reassures you a little...

I've never seen the lopp back boards either. I do have the cart and a pair of the shorting plugs, though. Funny, the manual (or at least the section of the manual that I have) doesn't mention that loop back board at all...
  4. Oh, Fish... I thought you were talking about one of these:
  5. (bump) There's only a couple of days left on this stuff, and may items don't have any bids at all! There is a lot of really good 2600 stuff in this lot, so check it out. Here it is! And thanks, Rinsky!
  6. Sheesh. I wish I could find consoles for $5 anywhere these days -- they just don't show up as much as they used to (if ever). I don't think $39.99 is too far off the mark.
  7. Hey all. Yes, it is again time for more of my collection to head over to eBay. For this installment, there are over 100 titles, all released by Atari for the 2600 system, and ALL BOXED! Included are many rarities like Motorodeo and Ikari Warriors, as well as some interesting box variations. Check them out at http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/scolin/ Thanks!
  8. Hi rev. I've been around since the nexus days too, as well as many other regulars here. On to an answer... I don'r know exactly when the grey boxes came into useage, but it's generally thought that they were changed from silver to cut production costs. The white boxes were all sold as part of one of Atari's many "Pak's" (ya' know... they were several games sold together as a bundle.) They are simply the inner part of a larger packaging. The outer boxes for them are colored, but the inner boxes were white, presumably again to save a bit of money on printing.
  9. OK. I'll bite (I'll take any chance I can get to plug my auctions...) Check out the eBay "About Me" page under my username, scolin. I still have 400 or so titles left to auction, and there are even a few up there now. Some nice Brazilian stuff, as well as several "Complete-in-Box" games.
  10. Joel- You are using those archival comic-type bags, correct? (I thouht I saw you mention this before...) If they are, I think that is a great solution for storage, and the bags shouldn't discolor the games at all. Now on to Gryphon787's question: Zip-lock, or any other plastic bags could possibly do some damage. Non-archival plastics can leech chemicals after time, which could in turn possibly discolor labels. I don't know how long it would take, but I'd make sure to use archival materials nonetheless.
  11. I don't know if I agree. According to the rarity key, an "8" is... "Very Rare+" -- "Worth bragging about if you find it in the wild. If you buy one of these on Ebay, expect to pay well for it." I think that accurately describes it. As a sidenote, in my almost 10 years of collecting (over 600 unique 2600 titles), I've never found Rubik's Cube either. Then again, I've never seen many "8's."
  12. [bump] Just a few hours left! There's lots of good stuff still with really low bids (look at the sealed copy of Star]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1338599598]Star Wars: Jedi Arena[/url] -- it's only at $6.55 right now!)
  13. ... I've got 'em. Over half haven't even been bid on yet, and the auctions end on Sunday. Many boxed / sealed Sears, Absolute, Apollo, Imagic, etc. titles, plus several Brazilian CCE and Dactar titles, and a whole bunch of Zellers pirates! http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/scolin/
  14. You'll see me on eBay as "scolin." It was actually one of my first usernames, even before I picked up the "twit" moniker that I've been using for several years on these message boards and WAYYYY back on RGVC. You don't have to worry about me outbidding anyone, though. I rarely buy stuff any more (well, I never buy Atari stuff any more, but am known to bid on an out-of-print art book or two from time to time.) I will be seklling some new stuff starting the beginning of next week, though... (plug, plug... )

  16. I have a ©1981 Atari Catalog from France. It has a yellow cover, and features 45 games. I've never seen it anywhere outside of my collection..
  17. Godd luck with your sale, Atari70's. It is a ton of work to sell any quantity of stuff like this -- but as I am finding out that little extra effort really helps out.
  18. Hey all! I have a bunch of Blue Labeled Activision (aka Mediagenic), Bit Corp, Puzzy, and Quelle games for auction on eBay. These end tomorrow so check them out now. There are many without bids still, and the minimum amounts are extremely reasonable. Here they are! Thanks!
  19. In my opinion, any sealed 2600 game is a good deal under $5. Desert Falcon was an especially good buy.
  20. quote: Originally posted by Secret Quest: Zaxxon and SSSnake are pretty common. Disagree. While Zaxxon truely is common, I think Sssnake deserves more credit for rarity than it is given. I've only seen 1 in the wild in almost 10 years of collecting. Could be a regional issue, but I wouldn't classify it as "common" in any case. On the flip side, however, it isn't worth a ton of money. I'd pay $3 just for Sssnake any time, though. Good find! [ 01-31-2002: Message edited by: twit ]
  21. I believe I have one available if Best doesn't pan out for you: Roadrunner on ULTRAtwit (scroll down -- its all alphabetical) Make an offer.

  23. You're very welcome, MattyXB. Thank you! Back to topic... This round of auctions wasn't all too successful. I just had to repost all the items by Puzzy, Bit Corp., and virtually all the Mediagenic (Activision Blue Label) titles at a lower starting price. Do me a favor and check them out.
  24. *BUMP* I just want to remind everyone that these auctions end in 24 hours. Most of the Starsoft/Quelle games, and all but 1 of the Mediagenic (Blue labeled Activision) games don't even have bids yet! Here everything is! Thanks!
