I placed an order with him mid-January and had a pleasant email conversation with him about the particulars right up to the end of January when he just stopped responding. One of the first things he said was that my order would be sent in 14 days, but I have yet to receive so much as a shipment notification and I’ve reached out to him every couple of weeks. Does anyone here know him personally? I don’t want to harass him or anything, I’m just concerned that something has happened to him.

I had a similar experience a few years' back. Had to chase quite a few times, but he did eventually send it. Frustrating, but it is worth the wait!

[Vectrex problem - anyone repair in the United Kingdom?]

Hi everyone. I bought my second Vectrex console recently and it worked fine for a few days until the display started slanting to the right. Now the text is completely unreadable (see the attachment which shows the boot-up screen) and the collision detection is off, meaning I can't play any games with it. Everything else works perfectly though, e.g. clear sound, console boots up quickly, etc.

 

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

 

Also, are there any repair experts in the United Kingdom that might be able to fix this for me?

Received mine today - what an amazing cartridge. Thank you so much for making this Juan! :-)

 

The instructions were very easy to follow but I did have one issue that I thought I'd post here in case anyone else comes up against it. Basically, I was using Juan's website on Internet Explorer 11 to remove the headers but each time the files would come back as 0 bytes. After a few failed attempts I decided to use Google Chrome and thankfully the files came back as perfect 128 KB conversions! In summary, avoid IE!

 

On another note, does anyone know what file extensions I need to give the following PAL games as I can't see them on Juan's website?

Just wondered, how do you guys store your Vectrex overlays? Ideally I'd like a binder with individual sheets but I'm finding it hard to get something suitable!

Big thanks to jfmateos for helping me get this working. If you're using Windows 8.1 try the following:

 

1. Press the Start menu button and do a search for gpedit.msc
2. Once you've done this follow the instructions at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-hardware/how-do-i-prevent-system-volume-information-files/815b0046-d631-4419-a43e-44083a3733f5?page=2
3. You should now be able to connect the burner to your PC without it disconnecting
