Thanks I'll play it safe and snatch a 2600 Vader instead.
-
I was considering purchasing one of these in lieu of an actual Atari console. Is there any downside to this device vs purchasing an actual 2600? Is it compatible with the Starpath Supercharger? Will my Colecovision's composite mod interfere with the operation of the Module? I haven't played any VCS games since the 80s and this seems like convenient way to test those waters again.
-
The 3DO also played CD+Graphics discs. The only one I ever purchased was the disc that had both of Graham Parsons solo albums. When you played the cd through the 3DO it would play the lyrics and still frame images. I don't recall any animation.

I am a little befuddled as to why the seller hasn't tested the games.

Philly area here. Received my copy about a week ago. Not sure when it was shipped as I seemed to have deleted my notification.

Wut? I thought Good Deal Games was defunct?
-
Received my copy today.

Shipping notice received!

-
I was a kickstarter backer and I did not receive any shipping notice. It just showed up in the mail.
Mystery solved.
-
I still haven't received anything. I sent an email and received a reply stating all orders were going out yesterday and I would receive a shipping ID.
As yet I haven't received any tracking or shipping ID. I'll probably wait until early to mid week next week too chase it up, in case it does just turn up in the post as stated.
Am I right in saying Big Evil Corps are UK based?
Indeed they are UK based as are the blokes who are releasing Xenocrisis which I did back on Kickstarter. In case you haven't seen it here is an interview with man responsible for Tanglewood.

Now I feel stupid. Completely missed those icons. I was looking for a contact us page or something like that. Thanks.
I've no intention of contacting them as yet, as you pointed out they have a lot of fulfillment to complete, and I know I'm at the end of that list. All in good tim
According to the Sega-16 Forum all of the pre-orders have shipped and the game is now available at the Tanglewood website with a 7 day wait for dispatch. I ordered my copy a day or so after yours and I have not received a shipping notice although my payment was processed. Just wondering if you received a shipping notice.

Order placed, fingers crossed.

I backed this. I do hope they include the option to use two controllers.

B&O was overrated most of the time.
I mean, don't get me wrong, they are good products, but B&O tended more to be gadgety than quality. I got a B&O CRT TV. I mean sure it was nice... But not THAT nice. It was a 51cm, but I swear it weighted more than a 70cm; due to being made with a motorized feet and a metal chassis. Another bit of useless fancy were the two slanted SCART connectors... and overall, the quality picture was.... okay. Not even great, but not bad. of course it might have been due to age so I would'nt say that all B&O TVs are like that, but for me B&O TVs are gadget.
Their sound system are good tho... lots of fancy options but that's more what you want in sound systems.
I heard good things about Loewe but never saw one.
Good to hear your comments on the B&O. At least I know I am not missing anything.

This dude tweaked his FV310 and the results are very impressive.

The Sony Wega is extra heavy. That alone is a reason to pass on them.
Another reason I am interested in the JVC D-Series. They are substantially lighter than the Sony.
-
If I lived in Europe I wouldn't even consider a trinitron. Instead I would be on the lookout for a Bang and Olufsen or, maybe, a Loewe.
-
So the lower-end trinitrons only have s-video and composite? That's interesting, I'll make sure to ask for pictures of the back of the TVs to make sure I'm getting one of the better ones.
The FS100 has component input and it is a lower end set AFAIK. FYI the FV310 is the most desired set. It is virtually identical to the 300 except that it has a voltage regulator that is supposed to contribute to picture quality in some way or another that I cannot remember. I have never seen a 310 unfortunately.

This past weekend I was comparing my Sony FS100, a very common "budget" set against a Sony FV300, a set designed to appeal to the home theater crowd. The specs that Sony published for these sets were virtually identical but FV300 was clearly the superior set. Excellent colour, contrast, and inky blacks. However I agree that geometry issues drive me nuts so I am currently looking to purchase a PVM. I will say that in my experience crts with convex screens seem that have better geometry than flat screens. I am currently searching for a JVC D Series set. On the surface they appear to be a legitimate alternative to a trinitron. http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/STARINMANUALS/JVC/Archive/2000%20Catalog%20-%20D%20Series.pdf

Are the 5200 conversions of these games identical to the computer versions?

I have this and I have just confirmed that it works just fine with my Masterplay clone and an Atari paddle.

The standard controller is also modified with a new rubber boot and gold contacts. After I took the photo I found a second Y cable. Everything is tested and works. Eighty four dollars for everything. Up until now I thought the Wico's were the best but the refurbished controller might possibly become my new favourite.

Contact Frank Jr. at Classic Game Junkie in Glenside Pa. I know that they are currently doing some sort of call ahead/curbside drop-off at this point. Frank has modded all of my systems and he offers a guarantee with his work. He's has a fantastic little store btw.
