  1. Yeah, I figured it was an Australian commercial.
  2. Here's a commercial for yet another Atari Mcdonald's scratch off promotion called the "Indy 500 Big Mac Attack." I couldn't find any information about this contest or any images of the scratch off cards. Which is a bit strange considering that the 1982 scratch off contest has plenty of information about it.
  3. Figured out that I chewed through yet another C64 PSU when attempting to use it to power another C64 board. So I had to build one of those DIY hack job PSUs which are somehow much more reliable than Commodore's PSUs.

  4. Got Bubble Bobble from the local flea market and stumbled upon a PC version of Bug! at a Goodwill.
  5. Some of Atari's early cassette programs, such as States and capitals, Hangman, and Kingdom, use the duel track system while loading the game to brief the player on the games concept and play music.
  6. So I tested pin 2 on the user port, and it doesn't seem to be getting power.
  7. Checked the fuse and it was good, I've even tried different fuses and nothing's changed.
  8. Hi, recently I replaced the power port on my C64 because the old one was faulty, but afterwards turning the C64 on gave me a black screen. I tried bridging the power connections because I tested for continuity with a multi meter and figured out that some of the pins can't send power to the board, but I still got a black screen. Now when I try to turn on the C64, I doesn't even power on. I know it's not the PSU because I've tried two different PSUs and both net the same result and neither the Datasette nor the 1541 react at all to the C64 turning on.
  9. I always wanted to see Atari 8-bit/5200 games be included in an Atari compilation, glad to see they're branching out from just arcade and 2600 games.
  10. Definitely Ms. Pac-Man, although I played it on one of those Plug and Play systems I got when I was a kid rather than an arcade machine. Funnily enough, during the first couple of plays, I didn't know that you could eat the ghosts after eating a power pellet, which was something I figured out accidentally. I also remember playing Galaga so much that I got pretty good at it.
  11. I never knew that "gaming phones" made after the N-Gage were even a thing. The longer battery life and bigger screen is nice and all, but with a price tag of around $1,040 and the fact that it's just a phone with a D-Pad attached to it means it's gonna get nowhere; it also makes me wonder why Huawei has such high expectations on this.
  12. All of the local arcades I've visited so far only have redemption games, so I get my arcade fix from Mame and arcade compilations.
  13. I am now the king of Dragster with my totally legit and not fake score of 0.00 seconds!
  14. Got a Digital Handycam off Goodwill, it's one of the higher end models with the ability to play hi8 and video8 tapes.

  15. I have four: One Atari 2600 jr. Two Coleco Geminis One Atari 7800
  16. 1. River Raid 2. Spider Fighter 3. Phoenix 4. Mega Mania 5. Galaxian
  17. Boogie Wings aka The Great Ragtime Show (Arcade) Parodius (Arcade, Game Boy, SNES) Most shmups made by Toaplan R-Type (Turbografx-16) Cosmo Gang: The Video (Arcade, SNES) Gradius (Arcade, NES) Gridrunner 2 (C64) Gyruss (Arcade, C64) Galaga (Arcade)
  18. I've been on a bit of a Sega Genesis kick lately, so I bought a new power supply for my model 1 and a copy of Thunder Force II. I also got a 6-button Genesis Arcade Stick. It required quite a bit of cleaning, both inside and out, but besides that it works perfectly.
  19. I think a PS1 sub-forum would be nice. After all, there's already a sub-forum for the 3DO.
  20. This looks great for a game coded in basic. It makes me wonder what programming in coco basic is like.
  21. I managed to get 2 Geminis for $40. The problem with both was bad solder, as once I re-soldered parts such as the controller ports and the cartridge slot, both consoles worked flawlessly. I think with enough re-soldering on all the ports and switches, a Gemini could last a long time. I've been using one a lot recently due to it having a better picture than my Jr.
  22. Update: I've had a broken Suncom Slik Stik with a perfectly fine cable lying around, so I salvaged the cable and replaced the CX-40's cable and it works fine now. I even managed to get a good score on Cosmic Ark with it.
