  1. Now here's something strange, up until now, I was attempting to load games off my laptop, and that gives me the IO error, but when I load a game off my phone, it works fine.
  2. I don't think there's a play button on the emulator, also when I load a .wav in Xroar, it reads through it just fine. Edit:I should clarify that the IO error happens right after the short tone that gives the computer the name of the program it's trying to read.
  3. Update: I found this thread that has what I need. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254841-creating-wav-files-in-xroar/ Problem is, when I load a .cas file, the name of the program doesn't pop up on the screen and the emulator gets stuck of the flashing "S." Is this normal?
  4. They do, but they give me an IO error when I try to load them and I'm wondering if I could convert the .cas files myself and try those.
  5. Hi, I recently tried to load .wav files I downloaded from Color Computer Archive to my CoCo 2, but they give me an IO error. Is there anyway to convert the .cas files to a .wav that the CoCo 2 can read?
  6. Bought me a Tandy CoCo cassette interface cable, along with a pair of those standard, non-centering Tandy CoCo joysticks and a copy of Skiing.
  7. Scored me a 64k Tandy Coco 2 computer.

@simbalion It looks like it's the later one without the melted keyboard.

simbalion: What do you mean by 'melted keyboard' if I may ask?

Tried to link to some pictures, but the CoCopedia is messed up! Anyways, they are bigger keycaps than the chicklet keys of the CoCo1, but still rubbery feeling when used. Also, they seem to be only half the height of regular keyboard keys.

  8. I honestly forgot that game existed until now. Never had any kind of interest in it.
  9. Nice find. Been wanting to get a heavy sixer myself.
  10. I never expected Nintendo to make something like this. Not gonna buy one but I think it's a neat enough idea.
  11. I most of the time use a Wii Classic Controller by connecting it to my laptop through Bluetooth and using WiinUSoft to translate the controller's inputs into Xinput. Other times I use an old USB Steelseries gamepad from about 10 years ago for games that require Dinput.
  12. Finally got that E clip out from inside of my Atari 1010 so I could swap the button positions and put the 1010 back together.

  13. I'd say I'm good at arcade games. Though I'm pretty good at Food Fight.
  14. Hey @ataribox this looks super awful, can wait to play!
  15. I might have seen this commercial sometime back while randomly browsing Youtube. I have a fully working MicroVision with the box and a copy of Block Buster with the manual for it that I got for about $50 on ebay a couple of years back. I really should get more games for it as I barely touch it.
  16. Been messing about with Tandy Coco emulation lately.

      Any good emulator to suggest?

VCC is the one I use the most, but there doesn't seem to be a way to save any changes to the settings, and I can't seem to get the disk emulation working. I've also tried Xroar, but you need a basic ROM to even be able to do anything with it, and I can't get it to detect my ROM for some reason.

  17. My power supply just came in today and now my 2600 jr. is back in action.

  18. I'd recommend a 800XL, a 600XL (The model I own) is also nice if you're willing to preform a simple 64K mod, or hunt for a rare Atari 1064 memory expansion module.
  19. Perhaps I could use this to breed new life to my Flashback 3.
  20. The Great Giana Sisters for the C64. I can't play that game without my Microblaster joystick. The design of that joystick reminds me of a Micro Moog. ...and now I kinda want a Sansei joystick because of that.
  21. In Volume 2, Number 5 of Atari Age magazine, they did an April Fools section with articles on faux Atari products. On the "Sneak Pokes" section, they had this gem of a game: Makes me wonder if anybody attempted to recreate this game as described in the article, despite the fact that this game sounds like a sure fire way to ruin your 2600's switches.
  22. This has to be the coldest winter I've ever felt.

In Florida pipes froze for a few hours, and could have snowed if it was humid out.
