  1. I really should get around to getting a new power supply for my 2600 jr.

Amazon has a nice one that works and is really cheap, just search for Atari 2600 power supply. Other members have bought them and said they work, plus the reviews are all pretty good on it.

  2. This one I made as sort of a test. The_Mr_Video_LavaLamp.xex
  3. It's that time of the year where sleeping only nets me about 30 minutes of sleep for an entire night.

  4. One thing I've been wondering about recently is if it's possible to make a Pokey piggy-back cartridge in which you plug the game cartridge into a pass-through slot on top of the Pokey cartridge with that plugged into the 7800. Kinda like the High Score cartridge.
  5. Not sure if this counts but I'd love to see someone finish the Rescue on Fractalus prototype.
  6. I wasn't surprised either, and yes, the similarities are quite striking. Despite the fact that I would probably never buy this thing, I really don't want it to be just another Coleco Chameleon.
  7. In a decision between the Ataribox and Tacos, I'd pick the tacos.
  8. Doubt anyone's heard of this game, but it looks fun and I kinda wanna see a 7800 port.
  9. Had to catch up on this thread a bit. I honestly think I read this thread less because barely any updates on the Ataribox come up, I'm not even sure what the thing does.
  10. It's snowing right now, and it doesn't usually snow where I live.

On the news they reported it was snowing in southern Texas for only the 3rd time in recorded history.

I live about two hours east of Dallas... it all went South of us. Friends in New Braunfels and Houston areas both put pics of snow on Facebook.

No such thing as climate change. Make earth flat again!

  11. Tried every duel track cassette I have and still only heard one channel, the strange thing is it used to play both channels.
  12. Hi, yesterday I got some Atari 8-bit cassettes that make use of the tape drives duel track feature, but when loading one of the cassettes, I noticed that I only heard the program data channel playing and not the voiceover channel. But when I play the same cassette in a normal tape deck, I can hear both channels just fine. Because it plays the program channel the programs load fine so it isn't too big of a problem, but it would be nice to hear both channels.
  13. Got two Hacks. Robot Panic: A graphical hack of Jawbreaker changing the player and enemy sprites into robots. Crazy Invaders:Another graphical hack, but this time it's for Space Invaders. It changes player, enemy, and shield sprites to a bunch of random things. Robot Panic.zip Crazy Invaders.zip
  14. Quartet was actually an arcade port and got its name from the arcade version allowing 4 player simultaneous play. Of course sense the Master System only has two controller ports, they done away with two of the characters, which defeats the meaning of the name.
  15. Got me a new laptop and it runs Qix and Looping much better than my last one.

      I still use a stock IBM x31 type 2885.

Classic Arcade Games!...Remember both from the arcades in the Great Old Days...of course Looping on CV...But for Home use I prefer Ultimate Qix (Volfied, Qix NEo)...IMHO the Genesis version rocks!

I like Volfied. Shame about the soundtrack, though, if a constant, high-pitched "whoob whoob whoob" counts as a soundtrack.

  16. I'd say the Jr. is my favorite model with the 7800 being second. Though I have been using the 7800 more because my Jr. needs a new power supply.
  17. I got so fed up with the "Make page mobile friendly" message that I managed to somehow turn it off. Forgot how I did it though.
  18. But what about the one with the Russian text at the end? In all seriousness, I never had any interest in getting the Ataribox and stuff like this is most definitely not gonna win me over.
  19. I forgot that today was when Day Light Savings Time ended.

Yeah, I woke up and my alarm hadn't went off, but the clock on my desk said I had overslept since I forgot to reset it. LOL

  20. I write them down using a good ol' pencil and notepad. Mainly because the notepad's small enough for me to quickly jot down high scores and I don't have to turn on a computer or anything to look at them. As of now my high score list is about 5 and a half pages long!
  21. For arcade games theres Space Invaders, Sprint 2, Break Out, and Asteroids. For Game Boy there's Dr. Mario, Super Mario Land 2, Bust A Move 2, Tetris, and a lot more! Also for B/W Macintosh games there's Crystal Quest, Mac Man, Shuffle Puck, Air Borne!, and Pararena.
  22. For me it's Laser Gates, Pac-Man, and Gorf.
  23. Yup. I watch reviews and gameplay videos, and even play the game for myself through emulation if I can.
