  1. Hi. My Atari 600xl came in today but when I turned it on, I get a green (sometimes beige) screen. Any help would be nice.
  2. Scored me an Atari 600 XL with a 1010 tape player and some books to go with it.

Nice! That was my first Atari setup as a kid. Which books?

  3. The status update that you just read doesn't exist.

  4. Ah, gotcha. I thought it was an Easter egg because there isn't really a reason for something like that to be in a home computer game. Thanks for clearing things up.
  5. Hi, today I was diagnosing why one of my Slik Stiks won't work (a plug inside the stick was loose) using Munch Man as a test cartridge, I kept fiddling around with the joystick when I started hearing a short, wind chime like jingle coming from the TV speakers. I restarted the TI, booted in to Munch Man, and waited at the get ready screen for that jingle to sound again, and surely enough, I heard it again, I then restarted Munch Man one more time, this time with a stop watch with me, to see how long it takes for the jingle to sound, it sounds around every 1 minute and 30 seconds, and I figured out that after the jingle plays a couple of times you get booted back to the title screen. I tried looking this up but found nothing. Did I discover a new Easter egg in Munch Man?
  6. I found this scan of a page from a CBS Electronics catalog on Atarimania, on this page I can't help but notice how many games listed never got released. Never knew that Domino Man was getting home ports and CBS Electronics even planing on making games for the Intellivision, as other than the overseas Coleco releases, I don't think they've even released any games for the Intellivision. Which makes me wonder. Do at least one of these unreleased games have a prototype build out in the wild?
  7. My first games were Combat, Asteroids, Space Invaders, and Missile Command, they came with my Atari 2600 jr. The first games I bought were Berzerk and Barnstorming.
  8. Been playing alot of Intellivision lately, probably because I can't fuel my C64 addiction right now.

The DK series was awesome and Space Patrol was a great port of Moon Patrol.

  9. Bought a lot of Intellivision stuff including an Intellivoice and some intellivoice games, overlays, manuals, and a catalog.

^ Agreed. I *do not* like "pranks," either played on me or on others.

I was watching Adult Swim last night and thought why are certain characters on American Dad and Aqua Teen Hunger Force talking through Effects? Then it hit me what day it was...

  12. Sorry for the necro-bump, but I thought I'd let everyone know that I got the Intellivision's picture stabilized by hooking it up to the VCR. (even though that didn't work last time.) And, with the magic of my TV's picture settings, got the picture looking good. Thanks to everybody who helped.
  13. For my first ROM hack, I changed the the player and enemy graphics in Jawbreaker to robots. Edit:Added screenshots. Robot Panic.zip
  14. I hate it when people use shredded paper to fill space in shipping boxes. One time, I bought a Sega Genesis model 1 off ebay, and the seller shipped the Genesis in a large box filled with shredded paper and no bubble wrap around the system itself! Some of the paper almost made their way inside the Genesis!
  15. Got my copy from my local Flea Market. I think the best way to play Marble Madness is with 2 players.
  16. In my opinion, Speed Buggy (aka Buggy Boy), Bubble Bobble, Gyruss, and Wizard of Wor are great arcade ports for the C64.
  17. My Data Age Mindscape flexi-disc came in today, it plays great.

  18. Been playing Solaris, an action packed adventure through space, and Millipede, a worthy successor to Centipede.
  19. I've had a Mircovision for quite a while now. It came in the box along with Blockbuster and the manual for Blockbuster. Though, my Microblaster has been hiding in the drawer of my TV stand for a while because I don't want the screen to get damaged, and I never really did anything with it. Might get it out, replace the batteries, and play a game of Blockbuster or two.
