Yes, this is one of the games I always go back to. Unfortunately I can play it endlessly until I have something else to do.

Every formation is the same every screen, lower right, lower left, top. Shoot until the last second to avoid fire, you will always clear everything before it even gets to the middle.

Great! I love that game, and the C=64 port is very well done. :)

  7. Been playing alot of Gyruss and World Karate Championship for the C64 lately. Both really good games in my opinion.

Gyruss! Thanks, I'm going to fire up MAME...

  8. Nice! My Breadbox C64 set up is fairly small and simple, but I like how everything is close by.
  9. Been playing Demon Attack lately, a really fun and challenging space shooter.
  10. It's really starting to feel like fall now.

Fall time. It's perfect for cozying up with classic computers and light science reading.

30's in the morning at my house now. Sweater time. Guess the pellet stoves need to be cleaned, eh?

  11. My guess is that you get scored by how many bowls of Apple Jacks you get...though that would make every target except the hole be more of a hinderence than anything.
  12. I mostly use original hardware, an Atari 2600 jr. and Atari 7800 to be exact. I do use emulation when playing homebrew games or a rom hack, as I don't have neither a harmony cart nor a supercharger. And there's always the occasion when I dust off my flashback and play a round of aquaventure and saboteur.
  13. My favorite ports are: Frenzy (Colecovision) Mouse Trap (Colecovision) Centipede (Atari 7800) Joust (Atari 7800) Speed Buggy AKA Buggy Boy (C64) Berzerk (Atari 2600) Lock N' Chase (Intellivision) Bump N' Jump (Atari 2600) Marble Madness (NES) Space Invaders (Atari 2600) Gorf (Atari 2600) Zaxxon (Colecovision)
  14. Phoenix had a story that's about 1 1/2 pages long.
  15. Been playing Phoenix, a faithful port of the arcade game, and Star Raiders, a scaled down, yet surprisingly fun port of the atari 8-bit classic.
  16. I've never tried a Competition Pro. The closest thing to a Competition Pro I've tried is probably the MicroBlaster. Even then I prefer the Wico Command Control joysticks because of the arcade feel they have. But I do sometimes use other joysticks like the MicroBlaster, the CX-40, and even the 7800 joystick.
  17. For some reason I get a server not found error when trying to connect to the main AtariAge web page.

Ok now it lets me connect, weird.

Sorry, we had to remove the server earlier.

  18. I've been wondering what a mechanical pong machine would have looked like. Also this reminds me of those 1980's Blip handheld games.
  19. It looks like I've been on here for 1 year now!

I've been on here for about 15 years. In the early years I didn't get on every day but the last few years I have.

  20. I'll keep a label variant if it's in a game lot. But other than that, one working copy is good enough for me.
  21. Model 1 "High definition graphics" variant with a 3 button controller and Vectorman 2 in the cartridge slot.
  22. The strange thing is, my printing error breakout cartridge doesn't say what controller to use.
  23. Here are my favorites. 1. Tempest 2. Millipede 3. Breakout 4. Asteroids 5. Defender 6. Astron Belt 7. Space Invaders 8. Spy Hunter 9. Centipede 10. Space Duel ...And as a bonus, here is, in my opinion, the strangest arcade marquee!
  24. Hi. A while ago I bought a copy of Toy Commander for the dreamcast. When I tried to play it, it would freeze at the end of the No Cliche FMV. While attempting to play it a second time, I figured out that skiping the FMV would keep the game from freezing at that point. So I played the training mission, and nothing went wrong. Then I tried to play the first mission, only for the game to display a black screen with a blue box in the middle of it and some text on it when it tried to load it. I can't exit out of the screen, the only thing I could do at this point was move a cursor around with the d-pad and analog stick. I tried resurfacing the disc and it still did the same things. I don't know what's wrong. Note: I would post pictures, but for some reason the images would look flipped on the preview screen.
