  1. The console concept has certainly evolved (not nessecarily for the better), but I don't think it's truly dead. For me, its always been a software issue. No PC can claim to run all PC games, certain ones won't work or won't work well depending on what's under the hood. Same thing with a lot of mobile games- no Android device can run all things labeled 'android apps', for example.

For now, if it's a PS4 game, any PS4 will play it. It may look nicer on a Pro, but everything runs on every PS4. Same with Xbox one X when it comes out. The day a game hits that requires a Pro or an X is the day the console truly dies.

  2. What make and model is you great grandma's radio? There is a chance that knobs can be found for it as there are places making new knobs for certain makes and models.

I have no idea! I've never found a good resource to try and figure it out- I took a couple pictures of it.

I'm really not sure which knobs are original (if any). Dad says the wooden one, Mom says the plastic ones. I'd be happy with a period appropriate set of 4, but I don't know what the manufacture date is, so I'm stuck on that one.

  3. I just picked up the European version from Portugal myself. It's in English, but there's very little to be translated so I doubt you'll see much else.

My advice for game hunting- hit the foreign markets. You'll find better/cheaper options outside the US. For example, I just won a Yahoo Japan auction for Pokémon Breeder Mini CIB, for $1400 yen. After deputy fees and shipping to the US (by far the most expensive part) I suspect to out no more than $40 for it. Good luck!
