Anyone else have a LAVA LAMP growing up?
-
If a song exists, there should be a Metal version of it on YouTube.

I wish I'd discovered the Yakuza series 15 years ago.
That is all.
-
I shelled out for Kiwami 2 just recently on Ebay (I didn't want to run of out games to play after switching from Kiwami to Zero.)
The only reason I haven't bit on the collection yet, is I know it dropped to $30 at Best Buy a couple months back & I'm hoping to get it closer to that price... but I imagine I'll pick it up fairly soon!

If you could travel back in time to buy games, how would you get the correct currency for the era? Purely hypothetical question, btw!!!
-
I don't know if I would- I'd just need some appropriate play money & a sports bar nearby when I land. Bet some drunk $100 on the winning team, use his money to place more bets (different places, different days preferably). Or go through my coin collection and gather enough change for a low-stakes lottery win... something they can pay out at the gas station, y'know?
I think finding period appropriate ID would be the harder part.

I got Skyward Sword complete save for game disc right before the lockdowns... so, I bought one from Gamestop. Got to use a coupon, and of COURSE it'll come disc-only. It's Gamestop! Right?
So- anybody need a Skyward Sword case & manual? ?

Help, I was practicing hiragana and I accidentally summoned a demon. Is there anyone I can call to vanquish the demon?

Is it it me or is AA traffic down quite a bit these past few days?

Shelves are completely out of TP, but full of paper towels....are American asses that spoiled? In the old days they used corn cobs...tough it out people!!
-
In my neck of the woods, almost all the paper products are gone, so people aren't being too picky. Lucky for me, I end up at the stores early due to work so I usually show up when the restocks are happening. Got a 6-pack yesterday, gonna check back for more today.
More worried about meats at this point...

What kind of crazy game is this describing:"They are babysitting Mama, an exciting babysitter simulation game designed specifically for Wii consoles. Throughout the game, you will shock an adorable stuffed baby. First, the character will be able to choose their baby from the available babies in the system such as Yoto, Emma, Daniel, Lucy, Koyuki, … Each baby has its characteristics, and at the same time, there will be six gates to pass through. Animals must complete many required tasks. " Must be one of those "All your base are belong to us." moments
-
I own Babysitting Mama. I got game & doll for $1 at a church rummage sale. Nothing like hucking a giant plush baby at someone & telling them it's the controller attachment. What? Don't all babies have Wii nunchuks growing out of their necks?
Also, the game is VERY insistent that you never shake the baby.
We spend a LOT of time shaking the baby.

My sister's dog attacked another dog. She had to put down her dog.

Wow! Okay! Just wow! Amazon just sent me an external DVD RW for my PC in the players own store-shelf 15cmx15cmx3cm box with the mailing label stuck to it. No more mail orders from Amazon for me.
-
I've had that happen twice- second time was just a few weeks ago, Christmas toy came with a label right on the box. Luckily, it came off clean so I could gift it properly. First time was my frickin' Xbox One- the one and only time the UPS guy knocked & waited for someone to answer so he could hand them the package directly. I am grateful to that guy.
Anyway- take a photo & submit a packing review.

Has anyone here played Drakengard 3, and if so, what are your thoughts?
-
Played most of it- fun action RPG, subverts your expectations of what an anime-esque game should be (I'm told if you've played anything else by Yoko Taro, that's a trademark). Crazy storyline that will simultaneously intrigue & utterly confuse you. It's not super pretty & prone to some glitchy graphical nonsense/slowdown, but it doesn't become unplayable at any point- just annoying.
The game does have multiple endings, but they are presented in sequence- just keep hitting continue after the credits roll & you'll automatically be put on the right path, so don't worry about screwing anything up.
What really bugged me- and trying very hard not to get spoilery here- was the late-game requirement that slams a big ol' grindy roadblock in between you & the final chapter. It utterly destroyed my immersion, & ultimately I gave up & watched someone else's video of the last chunk. The final battle is... unorthodox, & a lot of people don't seem to care for it.
Ultimately- look up the opening cinematic online, & if that looks like something you wanna play (and you can handle the rough edges), you'll enjoy at least most of it.

Your Game Gear collection is not complete any more! Get your copy of Hamburgers En Route To Switzerland!
https://www.retrocircuits.com/product/hamburgers-en-route-to-switzerland-by-chris-read/

So are you saying the game is Hamburgers, and I have to buy it while traveling to Switzerland?
I kid- I look forward to the description for that, sound weird enough to be up my alley.
So, if I do take a European vacation, and eat at an airport McDonalds, I could get hamburgers & Hamburgers En Route To Switzerland en route to Switzerland. Hmmm...

So if a pushy seller keeps emailing a non-existing address for which I happen to have a catch-all, and writes he will stop emailing if the other party doesn't respond, should I reveal that the other party doesn't exist and risk him harassing me, or keep silent and wait for him to stop sending emails?

So FedEx says a package is due to be delivered today, only to moments ago changing it to not being delivered at all today. You can't trust them!
-
My guess? Driver couldn't find your house and thought it was mis-addressed, someone else showed them were it was (and probably called them a dumbass for screwing it up.)
Could be worse- I've got an overseas box where the tracking hasn't updated since the 3rd. At the very least, it's not a Christmas present so as long as it's not lost, it can run late.

I loathe using PayPal anymore. Every time I use it there is a new policy / fee.

What are you going to get your favorite wookiee for Life Day on Sunday? Remember, he already has a comb.

Grabbed a disc copy of Polybius on PSVR from LRG. Stoked!
-
I got an e-mail from eBay saying my package arrived. So I went out there and it wasn't there. What do I do? They think I have my package...
-
1- Check all appropriate places for it to be. I once got a 'delivered' notice with no package. Turns out they stuck it in the parcel locker on our mailbox, but didn't actually lock it. I'm lucky I found it before anyone else just took it.
2- Wait an extra day. Some delivery guys scan all their parcels as delivered before actually dropping them off, so it could just have been left on the truck as such.
3- If the above doesn't help & the status doesn't change, go to the Post Office & ask about it. Sometimes they can check in with the guy on your route and figure things out. That one's a long shot, though.
