I thought I might share what I've been doing (aside from work & illness) to occupy myself away from early present opening this year.
I bought a cross-stitch advent calendar! The company, forbidden fiber co, makes hand dyed thread/yarn/fabric. The advent set started with a custom-dyed fabric, then it alternates between small gifts & custom thread, along with a new part of a mystery chart only showing the colors revealed so far. It's not much of a mystery at this point, but it's still fun to not know excactly what I'll be sewing until I open the new packet! This is the first 4 colors- the varigated border is easily my favorite part so far. 8 more colors to go!

Managed to get my last item, & enough energy to actually mail my box! Phew- I was genuinely kinda worried about getting it sent in time!

The replacement for my missing item arrived safe & sound! That leaves 1 more thing, but it's more of a stocking stuffer so if it runs late I can mail without it.
But it's gonna get some extra time, because for the first time in 2 years I'm sick! Stomach flu slowly hitting all the family. At least I was low on the list so I have plenty of supplies for a speedy recovery 😅

All of my items are here or in transit, save the one that usps declared stolen 😖 so once I get a replacement for that I'll be back on track! Just might end up shipping a little later than normal this year 😅

I'm sure it's more than just games in that basement- I mean, you'll need refreshment while playing! I bet he just found a great pay n' save deal on amontillado! You'd be a fool not to go down & check it out!

Correct! The code has been DM'd to you! I apologize for the delay, I was setup for notifications on DMs, but not replies 😅

So I don't play Call of Duty & I have no idea what this code gets you- it was just cheaper to order the promo bundle than the standard pizza.
Rather than let the code get bot-grabbed, DM me with the answer to this question: How many US disc art variants are there for Lunar: The Sliver Star on Sega CD? First right answer wins!

To give another example, I once had a complete run of Byte magazine, 1987-1998 (when it ceased publication). I posted an ad offering it for free as I was moving and I could not take it with me. Only one person responded, and he wanted me to deliver it to his residence. Nobody else was interested, so off to landfill it went.
I threw out about half my magazine collection years ago in a similar situation. Luckily, a couple years ago when it was time to get rid of the rest, I'd learned about the Videogame History Foundation & set up a donation, which felt a lot better!

They're not unwanted anymore- a lot of those plastic guitars are $50+ secondhand now, so the scalpers are on them.
Which is the other unknown factor- my sister in law used to manage at a thrift store, and some resellers would stay open to close to jump on all the new stuff coming out first. So if one of them was after gaming things? You're out of luck!

Dixit is probably my favorite, & best played with closer friends. None of the cards have words. The active player makes up a clue & says it playing the card face down. Everyone else also plays a card face down to match the clue. Then you flip & try to guess which card is the active player. You score the most if some, but not all players guess right- so it's interesting to see who's able to figure it out.
We also play a lot of Betrayal at House on the Hill... it's a horror movie in board game form. You explore a creepy mansion, generated at random by your movements. Eventually you'll trigger 'the haunt'- which changes the gameplay. Based on when/where that happens, there's 50 different scenarios you could end up playing. It's a little rough since you basically have to re-learn the game rules every time, but the variety makes for amazing replay value!

I enjoy the change in gameplay, provided the difficulty spike isn't too much & they're not complete damage sponges. I definitely don't care if they're missing though- I just want finishing a stage to feel satisfying, bosses aren't inherently nessecary.

Sheesh- you get distracted for awhile & miss a 100 page thread of drama! I'm gonna go make some popcorn!

Ok, so this is definitely a weird one for here... but I'm not sure where else to offer, so why not?
I've got a bunch of these lil' butterfly kits i bought for a stitching meet up years ago that never happened. I've tried to give them away over the years, but it's been slow going. Each kit has thread, fabric, the pattern chart, how-to stich instructions, & a display hoop. Basically everything but the scissors. I've got 3 sets of 2 (see picture) to give away. The envelopes weigh about 3 ounces each & ship from 98422... seems like $5-12 depending on your location & preferred shipping speed. DM me if you might be interested!

Thanks for the offer, but I found it too late- following around various links, I just found and decided to try this Composite demodulator. My logic being, if I get an HDMI box, it goes straight to the TV & I get whatever picture I get. But if I get this one, I can hook it to my new Retrotink & have some options to clean the picture up if needed.
Now I just have to hope the Intellivision especially works- it didn't like the HD upgrade, I had to poke its guts to get a stable picture going.
My demodulator came today (a couple days early, in fact!) I'm pleased to announce it's working wonderfully! I tried both the top loader & the Intellivision- neither have looked better! I don't know how much of that is the retrotink, but both systems gave me artifacts on the old set (jailbars & rolling, respectively). That's all gone now. The NES still has a little bit of rainbow in the whites, but considering it used to be downright iridescent I'm not complaining!
Something I noticed checking the manual- this box is capable of finding channels up to 139- meaning it could be a good device for folks with famicoms (they need channel 96 or something like that to work, right?)

Wait, if this is the case then your TV might be able to see the NES. Obviously your "Live TV setting" is the TV's antenna input. When you connected your NES, did you have it powered on? If so, and your TV can see analog signals, then it should have picked up a signal on analog channel 2 or 3 (or is it 3 or 4).
I tried with the NES both off & on, to the same result- it identified a group of nonstandard numbered channels (27-2 for example), & a group of channels starting at 1000 that I think are built into the TV. I can/could find no way to access a plain old channel 3.
