Off-Topic: Look At What I Just Bought!
the1hatman replied to Eric7100's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Thank you. He was a Golden Retriever/Black Lab mix. Looked like a jet black retriever, Cancer got him as it does so many. He had a great life though. We got him from the city pound after he had been adopted twice and returned both times. Wasn't a darn thing wrong with him either. Guess he was just meant to be our dog. But don't feel sorry for us or him. We were all very happy together and lucky to have each other for the time that we did. Now we will start to search for the next perfect companion and get to do it all over again. Feeling broken doesn't last that long. You have to pull yourself together for the next one you save and give a home to. It's all more than worth it. -

Enjoy these moments. My dog Gannon just passed away yesterday. Not trying to depress you. Just wanted to say don't take these times for granted. We are looking through the online listings and the local pounds for our next dog. We'll be OK and more importantly, we'll give another pup a great home. :-) -

The Birthday Challenge - 2015 Edition

Spending an entire birthday playing Intellivision with snacks, drinks and that chair sounds amazing! I would join you but I don't have Christmas Carol. You'll have to play an extra round for me -

Need help with a new box project
the1hatman replied to the1hatman's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Don't tease us now, lol Even just clear enough pics so I can see what each side looks like would help. Might be able to recreate the design using other Intv II packaging graphics since they are all kind of similar. -

I hadn't thought about that one. I put my flashbacks in with each game they went with so that's probably why it didn't occur to me. Sounds like BBWW has you covered though. -

It is the one you bought. I linked it from your post about it here, lol -
Need help with a new box project
the1hatman replied to the1hatman's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I know I have seen the Intellivision II boxed controllers before so I am sure they exist. The Sears version seems to be far more common though. I'm hoping someone has a boxed II model in their collection and sees this thread. I have an extra set of II controllers just in case my primary set ever dies. I've always wanted the boxes for them though. If nothing else, I may just have to "invent" some using graphics from existing packaging. -

I wouldn't DREAM of asking anyone to tear down a box! But scans of any/all the sides would be great. I really want to find the Intellivision II version but I bet the Sears box would go over just as well. If you have any pics of whatever kind of retention was inside the box holding the controller in place that would be great as well. -

I know these are out there but I would like to find one for the Intellivision II... -
Hello all! I want to attempt to recreate the boxes for the individually sold Intellivision controllers. These seem to be a rare item although I have seen several of the Sears boxed individual ones on eBay. What I am looking for are some really good pics or, even better, scans of the Intellivision II controller box (front back and sides). I believe the stock I use for my repro boxes should be able to fit the dimensions of this kind of box in flat form. I will probably have to find a way to recreate whatever retention these came with on the inside as well. If anyone has any info or pics/scans it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Intellivision Ebay Roundup

I would be the same way although I can always make boxes for the ones that are "homeless". I do love the funky look of these INTV carts with the Atari extender on the back end though. I guess Mattel really wanted to keep their branding across the platforms. -

That is extremely generous but I would say we should complete JasonlikesINTV's collection first. I'd be more than happy with any leftovers after that -

I do not but I do have 2 Mattel carts for Atari that were in an old lot I picked up years ago, Super Challenge Football and Lock 'n' Chase. I used them to test the changer and everything worked perfectly! My goal is to someday get a complete set of M Network games for Atari and my "new" changer. -
Intellivision Purchases and Deals
the1hatman replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
So I finally got a compete System Changer after selling off a bunch of possessions (nothing INTV mind you) to fund my Thanksgiving trip. I had $70 left over in PayPal so I decided I would get something for my collection and stumbled across one for $75.00 but accepting best offers. The seller accepted a $60 bid plus the $3.34 to ship. Not a bad price for a complete one in my mind. I had owned one several years ago that was just the unit and box but had to sell it to help pay some bills. I didn't mind letting it go since it wasn't complete but always missed not having a complete Intellivision II hardware set. This was posted as new old stock with an "opened original seal". I didn't really care if it was truly NOS or not since I thought the price was right anyway. I was able to remove the price tag seen in the eBay listing with little effort. The box itself has some dirt smudges that were also easily cleaned off with a tiny amount of soapy water and a paper towel. Like just enough to get the towel slightly damp. Just never go over any box stickers with it. It had a pristine serial number sticker on the box side. The contents looked as if they may never have been opened before. Thankfully the serial numbers match! The unit clearly had been used at least once as there are the telltale brown console marks on the insert piece. There were also the faintest cart marks on the top as well but these were quickly wiped away and were not permanent. Still the unit is just about pristine and could not have been used more than a few times. It it were not for the console marks, I would have believed it was NOS. The materials packet has definitely never been opened and the contents are all in perfect condition. As this was the piece I was missing from my original unit, I am more than satisfied with the purchase. Overall not the biggest steal in INTV history but considering the condition of the unit and materials, I am very happy with the piece and to again have a complete set of Intellivision II hardware
