  1. I think the value of many of the games will come down and that there will be a smaller number of collectors.  Many of us are 50+ and is the case with life many of us won't be around in 20 years.  There have been several collectors who have died young.  As we get older the number of us still around will get smaller.

Is that ebay seller actually Bradley? If so, I thought he sold those flexes for less than that? Maybe only if you order directly from him perhaps?

In any event, for just training purposes, the cheaper $8 non-gold flex will work well enough and is actually what I've been using when replacing the originals in my personal controllers and for others.

That isn't Bradley.  I thought the price was high but then I went on Best Electronics page.  The price is higher than I used to pay but I am not sure if I ever bought the gold ones.

If you can find any FlashBacks they all have amazingly solid reproductions of the 70's original and I've put mine through a pounding for over a decade now.

I don't know if the joysticks with the FlashBacks are all the same but I recommend the ones from the Flashback 2.  Best Atari 2600 joysticks that I have ever used.

This chip thing really sucks. I can be patient but is there a way to still pre-order for that future batch or is it closed and out of luck?

I don't know if the original SGM is still available for preorders but SGM2 is expected to be released late this year.

There are no hookups to be had. Just the SGM.

OpCode might still be taking preorders for the upcoming run. Anyone know for certain?

Here is the last update - "Bad news first. Unfortunately the global chip shortage is very real and has hit us. The main programable logic chip that we use on both our Super Game Cartridges and Super Game Modules is out of stock everywhere. After some negotiation with the manufacturer we were able to secure 2,000 chips, however the estimate delivery date is August 2022. With that said, we have no option but to delay all releases until September 2022."  That includes SGM.

  6. There is a Gauntlet in this massive eBay listing.  I am 99.99% sure this is a reproduction but I don't have reliable picture of an end label of Gauntlet to compare it to.  The font does not match the top label of a known label.  The seller is not at home and is unable to send additional pics before the end of the auction.

  7. If sold as is maybe $50 to $75.  I don't see a power supply for either system.  The 7800 is cracked.  None of the games are rare. The TV game box for the 5200 is missing.  Maybe try selling locally.  Shipping these items will be a lot of work with a small return unless you get some crazy eBay bidding war.
