I am curious as to everyone's experience with Go Atari. I recently bought 6 items from them on eBay and the customer service has been extremely poor. It took me several days to get an email response to 3 emails that I sent them, yet I continued to get emails from them asking how I was going to pay for the auction. Pete Curry finally emailed me and did state that he had been out of town, but that he would respond to my emails within 24 hours. He did respond, but did not answer my questions. I then decided to call in my payment. The woman who answered the phone had no clue about the products. She took my order for the 6 Lynx games and said shipping would be $5. I asked her for a total and she said that she could not give me one, but that I would get an email stating the total. I figured up the total myself based on $5 shipping and sent an email to Pete Curry to verify the total. I want to know the total because the credit card I gave them is tied to my checking acount. It has now been several days and I have not received an email back and I still do not know the total. It has not posted to my bank account either. I have been on eBay for several years now. Go Atari was one of my first transactions on eBay years ago and it was a very good transaction, but this time around I have been disapointed with the customer service. I think that part of the problem is that they no longer accept PayPay. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Go Atari?

It does not matter what you call the game it still would be considered a copyright infringement. It is probably pretty unlikely that you would get sued for this, but it is possible. Since Space Invaders is very old I would be surprised if anyone would bother you about it, but you never know. Sean Kelly had threats from Telegames regarding his Colecovision multicart and that is why he won't sell it.

I have been dealing with Telegames for over 10 years. I have never had a bad experience.

I have an extra Saturn. Would you have an extra Arcadia 2001 system to trade for it?

Don't you wish you were my friend?
holygrailvideogames.com replied to Philflound's topic in Auction Central
Phil, I have to admit that what happened to your friend sucks, but it looks like your friend has made some people very angry at him. I personally have never dealt with your friend, but based on his other feedback I probably would not buy from him. Several people claim to have paid and never go their stuff. My guess is he pissed someone off so much that they decided to get even with him. Why does he have so many negatives? -
I personally love the Astrocade. Games such as Galaxian, Space Invaders, Wizard of War and many others made this a great system. It comes with some games built into the system. If you don't want it I might be interested in buying it from you if it works. There is a multicart for the system that you can buy for a little over $100. There is also a guy in Ohio who still makes very rare games for the system. He originally sold these games 20 years ago and he still sells them.

Bounty Bob Strikes Back (sale ends OCt 21)
holygrailvideogames.com replied to kherman's topic in Auction Central
I have to wonder if it really is Bill who is selling the Bounty Bob cartridge. As CPUWIZ points out, this guy is called Jeff in one of the feedbacks. I sent an email to Bill (at his legitimate email address) and he has yet to email me back. If and when he does I will post his comments here. I personally am hesitant to bid on this auction even though I would like to have a sealed copy. I would say that this sealed copy, if it is legit, is worth at least $350-$400. I sold one copy of Bounty Bob (cartridge only) for $350 a couple of years ago. -
I have had some of my Lynx game show up with the message of insert game and later they have worked. I think that maybe my Lynx system was dirty and that it was not the games.

Lynx Eproms, what to do with missing A11?
holygrailvideogames.com replied to razor1000's topic in Atari Lynx
CPUWIZ, Any chance you could make a Lynx multicart like Sean Kelly has made for other systems? -
I bought the last Intellicart today. It has been a good week for me. First I was able to get St. Louis Cardinals playoff tickets and then today I picked up the last Intellicart.

I owned the Alien vs. Predator proto and all I can say is that it isn't a very good game. It is not even close to being complete and it is more of a demo than anything else. I would only recommend it to the true die hard collector.

Any good substitutes for a 7800 stick?
holygrailvideogames.com replied to MegaManFan's topic in Atari 7800
I bought mine from the guy in Germany and they arrived in great shape. The controllers came in less than a week. -
Your friend should contact his state to see if he can get Medicaid for his daughter. There are a number of states that offer Medicaid for children, even for middle income families, and Medicaid would cover a pre-existing condition. Your friend could also contact Children's Hospital in St. Louis. Their number is 314-454-6000. It is one of the best hospitals for kids in the country and they will not turn kids away who do not have health insurance. A raffle conducted by an individual is illegal in most states. I can understand why your friend is doing what he is doing, but please inform him that he has other options.

An idea about Bounty Bob for the 5200
holygrailvideogames.com replied to Allan's topic in Atari 5200
I know that there is someone on Atari Age who is attempting to make a Bounty Bob reproduction cartridge. I won't release the name of who it is so that he is not flooded with emails. -
If you aren't signed up with PayPal yet, then here is the release. I am sure eBay will be pushing for all members to sign up with PayPal eBay's Acquisition of PayPal is Complete Dear PayPal Member, We are pleased to announce that eBay's acquisition of PayPal is complete. PayPal's shareholders approved the transaction on October 3, 2002, and PayPal and eBay are now working together on a common goal: to help our buyers and sellers trade online. Easier Payments on eBay As you can see, not much has changed on PayPal's website, but some exciting changes are coming to eBay's. We know that many of you want to see PayPal integrated into eBay, so that is one of the first things we are working to accomplish. Within the next few weeks, we plan to begin integrating PayPal into eBay's website so it will be easier for buyers and sellers to use PayPal. In the first phase of integration, you will see PayPal featured on eBay's Sell Your Item and View Item pages. Further integration will happen over the coming months; we'll be sure to keep you updated. Non-Auction Services PayPal will continue to offer its non-auction services, including its Web Accept website payment tools and popular ATM/Debit Card. PayPal will also be introducing some exciting new features in the weeks ahead, such as the ability to transact in Euros and Pounds Sterling. Look for this new option to come online before the end of October. Thanks to our Members If you'd like additional information about eBay's acquisition of PayPal or want to preview some of the ways we're going to integrate PayPal into eBay's site, click on the Learn More button below. Thank you for your support of PayPal. We hope you share our excitement about bringing PayPal and eBay together. We look forward to making your online transactions faster, easier, and more secure. how to handle non-paying high bidders on ebay?
holygrailvideogames.com replied to brett6400's topic in Auction Central
I personally will leave negative feedback for anyone who does not pay. I have left maybe 7 negatives (all non payers). The only negative I ever received on eBay was from a guy who did not pay and was upset that I left him negative feedback. He has since been booted off of eBay. -
Hurry and buy this Intellivision package before it is gone. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1384859205
