  1. The Post Office really jacked up the prices for priority items weighing more than a couple of pounds. If you send a Vectrex from one coast to the other coast your looking at a good $35-$40 to ship it now. Almost everything I sell I send out priority and at minimum it is $3.85 to send the package and $.45 for delivery confirmation. If I add $50 ($1.30) or less of insurance coverage the total is $5.60. I have had people charge me $5 only to send in a regular envelope using media mail. It doesn't make me real happy to pay a premium for a good box only to have it destroyed because it was sent in an envelope.

  2. I sent out the package today to the confirmed address. I used delivery confirmation and I did insure it. I just hope this guy doesn't leave me negative feedback. He bought three items so he can leave me three feedbacks. I do send packages all the time to those who are not verified, but I always send to confirmed addresses unless it is someone that I have dealt with before or if the item is of low value ($25 or less). I try to make all of the people who buy from me happy. I always insure items if they are $25 or more and I always use delivery confirmation. If there is a problem with an item that I did not insure I would refund the money myself.

  3. His feedback is fine. I would send the package to the other address, but PayPal requires that the package be sent to his confirmed address in order to qualify for the seller protection. If I had dealt with him before or if I knew others who had, I probably would send to his other address. But that is not the case. I have had a few problems with people on eBay. One woman tried to rip me off (took thousands from others - see eBay user conniemendoza) and I had one time when a kid bought and paid for my item using his mother's credit card. The mother went bezerk, but then realized what her son had did. I thought I had sold the item to the mom. I therefore am more cautious than I used to be.

  4. I had a buyer purchase 3 items from me on eBay today. He paid with Paypal. My PayPal account blocks payments unless the person pays with a confirmed address. The guy goes ahead and pays with PayPal and then later on emails me to send them to a different address. I told him that I would not do this because of PayPal's seller protection policy. He claims that he was worried that someone would steal the items. I offered to require a signature so that the post office would not just leave the package outside of his home. He then emails me back with this email.

send it to my house but do not have someone sign for

it. we work for a living 6 days a week and noone is

here to sign for it if i do not have it by next tues.

i will e-mail you because my friendly little

neighborhood bastards probably took it. i can not

believe you will not ship to the other address i have

gone well out of my way to make people happy but

obviously you are not one of them. by the way check to

make sure i did not cancel your payment because this

is bullshit over shipping an item!!!!

I didn't really care for this message and now I wonder if I ship the items if he will try a chargeback just to be a jerk. What would you do? I have already had one person try to rip me off on eBay and I am just trying to protect myself against fraud. Thanks for your help.

  5. No I did not buy this in a large auction. I am on eBay a lot and it is possible that I might have out bid you on a different game. I would prefer cash as I have bought a lot of stuff lately and need to sell some stuff, but I would consider a trade. I am really looking to complete my Lynx collection, but would consider 7800, 5200. Astrocade. Intellivision. Vectrex. Arcadia 2001. Saturn, or Dreamcast items. Let me know what you can offer and I will consider anything. It would have to be worth a $100 to me. I don't know the values that Digital Press has placed on things so I really can't go by that.

  6. Thanks for the information. I have had a Lynx for about the last 2 years. I just recently decided to try to build a complete collection. I have about 40 games for the system. I did sell a lot of my Astrocade stuff after I bought Ward's multicart, but I kept all of my games that were made by Bally/Astrovision and I have one prototype for the sytem. I sold all of my 3rd party games.

  7. I live in St. Louis and wanted to know if there is more than just Jaguar items at this event. I have a Jaguar, but it is not a system that I really collect on. I am mostly interested in the Lynx, 7800, and 5200. I am thinking about attending because the event is only about 20 minutes from where I live, but I hate to spend the money to go if it is just for Jaguar games.

  8. A new Dreamcast recently sold for $160+ on eBay. Saturns don't go for too much. I sold a new Saturn last year on eBay and it only went for $80. Dreamcast is a lot more popular system and if I could find a new black Dreamcast system I would get my hands on it. Too bad Connie Mendoza ripped off me and several others on eBay.

  9. My Super Pac-Man arrived today. It works great on my 4 port 5200 system. I don't have a 2 port to compare it to. The graphics all appear. I only noticed a couple of problems with the game. The one was that at times I would just die for no reason. I guess that there is a bug in the game since it is not a finished version. A couple of times extra graphics appeared at the top of the screen that should not have been there. I would still say that it is a great game and that Voltman did a great job on the label.

  10. I don't know how many of you used the Atari computers back in the 1980's, but I did. My favorite system was the Atari 5200, but back around 1985-1987 there were many of us who use to download Atari games off of BBS boards. Back around this time there was a guy who called himself "Glenn the Atari 5200 man". "Glenn" modified the 5200 games to play on the Atari computers. I played games such as Super Pac-Man (5200 version), Track and Field, and many others years before they were "discovered" by 5200 collectors. I am just curious if anyone remembers playing these 5200 games on the old Atari computers.
