  1. It's from a listed owner -

    Let's just say - if I took a 2k offer - I'd be taking a major loss.

I agree with Atari181 on this one. $1,500-$2,000 is about where I would place this. Maybe you will get lucky and find someone who will pay $3,000+ but I doubt it. There are only so many who will pay 2K+ for an Atari cart and my guess is that they all have Air Raid already. If you paid $2500 for this to resell it I think that you overpaid. I hope that you get your asking price because I always like to see a big sale but I just don't see it happening - at least not this year.

  2. The boxes are not mint which will hurt the price. If you had only mentioned that you had one and posted a picture of one then you might have been able to get $300-$500 on a good day from the one or two Atari buyers who are willing to pay such a premium for new. Many buyers just want to play with the item so they could care less if it is new or not. Buyers knowing that you have multiples will hurt your sale price. Some buyers will wonder if you have 2 will you have 20.

You could list it on eBay with a high buy it now price or accept offers on here. Another option that you could consider is to start this at 99 cents on eBay for a 10 day listing. If you list it for 10 days you will get plenty of exposure and bids. Atari prices are down from where they once were but tax refund time is a good time to sell an item like this.

  3. Oh man, look at this tracking history....it is stating "Undeliverable as Addressed". I paid with paypal and it gave the same address as all of the other packages I receive every week. I don't know, looks like it might be going back to the sender.

It looks to me like it is going back to the sender. I have had this happen several times. Most of the time it is when it is a hand written label and they put down the wrong zip code or something else with the address. I also have had packages sent to me that were sent back because the sender put on the wrong postage such as paying for Media Mail or Parcel Post but sending in a priority box.

I would contact the seller and let him know what is going on and ask that he resend it when it arrives.

  4. I didn't think of the internet cost. That's a nice $400+ right there for the year. I bought a storage unit for the yard that I house many of my items. I also rent a storage unit. I do have a lot of writeoffs. It's just the time I have to spend doing it now. I was keeping a log of all items I sold with what I paid, but got a bit lazy. I did 7 of the 12 months, so I'll have to do some more work. I was actually doing it, not for tax purposes, but to see how much money I was making. I've been extremely upset with Ebay's fees and paypal's fees. I wanted to see how greedy they've become. I love they keep raising fees but do no additional work. During Christmas season last year, I was working a good 30 hours/week just with Ebay sales. I'm wondering if it's worth my time.

You can download a log on PayPal that will show all of your purchases and sales through PayPal. It will also show your PayPal charges and PayPal cash back. In addition it will show all of the shipping that you did through PayPal and this would include USPS, eBay and UPS shipping. You can go back for the last year and get all of your eBay expenses under your account tab under your eBay account. Dealing with taxes when selling on eBay is an absolute pain in the ass. It is extemely time consuming and it is one of the reasons why I decided to phase out my selling on eBay. I still have a bunch of stuff to sell but once it is gone I am done. Between eBay fees, PayPal fees and self employment taxes it just isn't worth it.
