Thinking about getting a Bally Astrocade....
holygrailvideogames.com replied to GameGirl420's topic in Bally Arcade/Astrocade
The Astrocade is one of my favorite systems. I bought one back in the day. Even then they weren't the most reliable units. My first one didn't work. The next one that I bought broke after playing it for several months. They are terrific systems but you have to be carefull because they easily overheat. There are many great games for the system and a couple of new homebrews. If you can get your hands on a working one I would recommend buying one. The system itself is very expensive because of supply and demand. Most of the games do not cost a lot. -
Donkey Kong Arcade first impressions
holygrailvideogames.com replied to save2600's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Was the damaged box the fault of the post office or the kind of box it was shipped in? i have been getting damaged boxes in the last year from the post office more than ever. Even they damaged a box i sent INTVDUDE a few weeks ago... The old priority boxes were great. They were made of thicker cardboard. These were shipped in the newer priority boxes that aren't that strong. The newer priority boxes need extra filling in them so that the items don't have smashed. The Donkey Kong's were sent with bubble wrap around them but there was too much space in the box. This caused mine as well as I am sure many more to get smashed. -
Donkey Kong Arcade first impressions
holygrailvideogames.com replied to save2600's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
My box also arrived damaged. The cart too is worn more so than most Intellivision carts that I have. The great news though is the game. I was only able to play for about 30 minutes yesterday. The game is terrific. -
Intellivision Ebay Roundup
holygrailvideogames.com replied to IntellivisionDude's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I was at a flea market about 5 years ago and a guy had at least 50 brand new He-Man's for the Intellivision. They were only $1 each. I wish that I had bought them all but I only bought 1 for myself. -
Local store getting rid of old Atari inventory
holygrailvideogames.com replied to Bryan's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
If you want to increase sales you should accept PayPal. Just raise your prices a bit to makes up for the cost of PayPal. Accepting PayPal will increase your sales. Not everyone pays with cash. That being said, Bryan is a great guy. If he says you are trustworthy that should be good enough but now everyone wants to pay with PayPal. -
It has been over a year since the pictures at the link below were posted for Tempest for the 5200. http://www.atariage.com/features/shows/cge2010_preview/demos.html Is this still going to be released?

Great new interview on O'Shea, Limited company
holygrailvideogames.com replied to Rev's topic in Atari 2600
I wonder what they did with their inventory. There are not enough buyers of Atari games to support 1,000,000+ carts. Hopefully they didn't destroy them. Telegames told me years ago that they had 300,000-400,000 games in inventory. I figured that they never would be able to sell all of their games either. -
Have you tried contacting the former Coleco employee again to see if he has the Tarzan game? It is worth a shot.

Whats it worth? Vectrex Kiosk
holygrailvideogames.com replied to ghsqb's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
In great condition you might be looking at $1,500-$2,000 U.S. on eBay. This one isn't mint. If it was local to me I would be tempted to buy it at $1,000 just because I would love to have this. You might be able to talk him down to $600-$800. Offer him $500 and see what he says. -
Please check out my 2 day sale!
holygrailvideogames.com replied to holygrailvideogames.com's topic in Auction Central
As orpheuswaking said I do have the best offer option on my listings. Most of my items were the lowest priced listing at the time of listing. I don't have time to go back and see when someone listed the same item at a lower price. Feel free to make offers. -

Thanks for looking! I know that I had posted a previous message indicating that my store was closing but I simply have too many items left so my store will remain open at least for now. I anticipate being very busy with items outside of eBay for much of July so this might be my last sale for a bit. Thanks for looking! eBay Store: stlouisrams2007

What do you guys use to clean your games?
holygrailvideogames.com replied to anakedg's topic in Auction Central
Does it work better than rubbing alcohol? I have used rubbing alcohol for years but it doesn't always work the first time on Activision and some other difficult to get working carts.
