    Yay, got CD support installed on my K serial Jaguar GameDrive. I have played a couple of CD's and the two new ST ports without a hitch. Feels good running CD data from solid state storage. So quiet!

    Mentioned above was that decaying orbit is included on the NUON Dome games and demos disc. Does this disc work on Toshiba SD2300 or just the Samsung N50*. If so, how did they deal with the signing? Sadly my N501 died with the 'loading...' hang so I didn't get a chance to play any homebrew. Anyone got piccys or video of decaying orbit in action.

    Tidied up the game screen by masking areas so bullets and enemies don't show up outside the gameplay area. Centered game over screen and pauses for a while. Fixed bug where number of lives wasn't being shown. Game is in a playable state (get the high score)!! Need to reinitialise object positions at start of new game. Need to add more enemy patterns and add levels to game. Need to implement high score system. Lots of frills to add. HELLGATE43.ABS

    Still being worked on (but at a snails pace, unfortunately). Implemented number of lives and so now there is a game over (lives do display). Basic scoring now works. Add explosion sound when enemy is hit. Enemy sprites now correctly take one hit to destroy and I have doubled their speed to make it more of a challenge. HELLGATE39.ABS

    Orion has posted new ROM's to itch.io. Escape 2042 is now working on the JagGD.

    Saint and Orion have had a discussion about this in PM resulting in Orion posting new ROMS to itch.io . I can confirm that the new Escape 2042 ROM does now work.

    I have already emailed itch.io (the web page supplier of the games) about this. Hopefully they will pass on this problem to @Orion_.

    Regarding the roms for the jaguar from Orion that are being sold on itch io. I have run Alice's Mon's rescue successfully on the JagGD. I cannot get Escape 2042 whotsit game to run on the JagGD. The default Escape.J64 rom, the header load and run address is not recognised and the JagGD offers to load and run at $4000 or to run as a header less rom at load and run $80200. Neither option works. I can run the rom in virtual jaguar!?!? There is no .mrq file, my skunkboard has stopped working, the Web page I purchased the rom from states to use the rom on the JagGD. As for the Elansar rom I do not have this.

I thought they included load and start address but the JagGD ask to load and run at $4000 or load as a header less rom at $802000. Neither of the two options work! P.S. I can't get my skunkboard to recognise with windows 7 or windows 10 anymore so have no way of playing this game after I have bought it.

    Thanks for reply. It had been working on Windows 7 laptop. I think maybe around Christmas time at least. I have tried with and without a USB hub and tried wiggling the lead into different positions as once this happened before and I had a bad connection. The USB socket on the skunkboard seems pretty solid, not much give. Windows says device is unrecognised and to reconnect or try a different device!!?? I remember back in August 2017 that empty skunkboard PCB were being sold. Anybody got any of these for sale? How difficult is it to populate a skunkboard PCB? What do you need apart from of the shelf parts and a soldering iron?

    Hello. I had a working skunkboard setup connected to a Windows 7 laptop. I bought a new Windows 10 Lenovo yoga 11e thinkpad and tried to get the skunkboard working with it. I tried using zadig but could not get the skunkboard to connect or be recognised as a working device. I gave up and went back to the Windows 7 laptop setup and now Windows says that the device is not recognised and that there is a problem with the USB (ie. skunkboard) device. The skunkboard boots to a green screen and the two banks can be selected but there is nothing doing with the USB socket. Any ideas?

    Good news! Thank you Orion. Especially excited about "Escape 2042". I just need to get my skunkboard working, then I shall purchase (or wait for a JagGD).

    Just tried my Samsung N501 again. Says Hello then Load but the open/close button doesn't open the tray. Slight grinding of gears but no open tray.

    Just got the vmlabs SDK release 2 installed on a windows 7 laptop. "gmake"'ed the sample Hello-World program and it runs in Nuance 0.51. Haven't tried to make any "NUON.CD" file CD-R's yet and haven't looked at my Samsung N501 since it got stuck on the "loading..." problem. Tried to use my Logitech NUON pad with my Toshiba NUON player and use it to play the Dragon's Lair DVD but can't get the Logitech to control the DVD. In the instructions for the Logitech NUON pad it says that it can be used for DVD transport controls but no luck with me on the Toshiba. Maybe it works with the Samsung units???!

    Did you update Raptor Basic to the latest version from GitHub? It would help if you posted the code change differences between the last working build and the new version. Maybe a Linux 'diff' or Windows command line 'cmp' (compare).
