  1. I like this a lot, it's actually kind of beautiful and gives that artificial "Atari-world" type of feel to the game. But I'm not sure how others will feel about it, because it jumps the shark in terms of realism and they might prefer colors a bit more grounded in the natural world.
  2. Most of these look pretty interesting, but 3:26 is the worst by far because the walls are in almost total darkness and are nearly invisible!
  3. Oh well, I guess I know what I'll be ordering next time there is another sale in the store.
  4. Just curious as to whether a box option was ever offered for these titles. Thanks.
  5. It is a cool game with a neat concept and nice graphics, but it is still way too hard (what we sometimes call "stupid hard" because it is so ridiculous ).
  6. Shouldn't it be one of the species of bird that Noah actually released when the 40 days and nights ended? Supposedly, he first sent out a raven, then a dove (and only the dove returned, so maybe we can assume that he was happy to be rid of the raven ). But maybe we should ask the programmer what his intention was (if he even had one)?
  7. I'm still hoping for an official release for this one, in collaboration with the original programmer (where he tunes it up and adds a bit of polish here and there like a difficulty select, maybe a tweaked scoring system, some minor additions/improvements to animation/sprite graphics, etc.). This is one of my favorite 2600 games of all time, and to think that it nearly never saw the light of day at all (that would have been a tragic loss, IMO).
  8. Thanks! I voted Parker Brothers because their cases look space age. And because I love Popeye (the character, I mean, maybe not so much the 2600 game which is a tad disappointing). Who doesn't love Popeye?
  9. Send me a .png of what you currently have (not actual size, preferably blown up as in 4X or some such), and I'll see if I can punch it up for you. No promises, but so far I think I've done OK in the sprite department for a few other 2600 homebrew titles that you might have heard of.
  10. Is there a page anywhere that shows photos of all of the different shell types? I owned a variety back in the day, but don't know if I've seen all of them.
  11. The color lines are off at the hands, neck and waist areas... (Ducks to avoid flying objects.) In all seriousness, I like the idea but agree with Al that the pushing animation should be included, if possible.
  12. 2 of the games that I made sprites for! Yippee!
  13. Those images are so insane, I almost can't believe that they are actually real. Our brains are clearly screwed up!
  14. Not trying to rain on your parade (or be a party-pooper, or whatever), but I honestly don't think that the 2-sprite version with the shading looks all that great, so I don't see a compelling reason to re-invent the wheel. It doesn't really remind me of that old-timey, classic Atari look that I was aiming for. But that's just the actual sprite artist's 2 cents worth.
  15. I purchased one from you quite awhile back, is that offer retroactive? (Didn't know about it at the time.)
  16. Personally, I'd rather have animated non-directional torpedoes than non-animated directional ones.
  17. That Vegan Edition has as much likelihood of coming to pass as the regular edition, but it's the thought that counts anyway. Come to think of it, it could also be the Dig Dug edition because of the vegetables shown on the marquee (minus the asparagus and peas, et al.).
  18. Don't you mean "heme thirsty"? (Please Google if confused.)
  19. I think that they look cool.
  20. 45 is way too young, that is a terrible shame. I didn't know him, but it is a sad loss for the community here and the people that he was friends with.
  21. You can be sorry enough for the both of us, I'm certainly not sorry about it and nobody need be sorry about what someone else chooses to put in his body for fuel. I'm not sorry that you're a carnivore, that's your own choice and I'm happy that it's working out for you (because it didn't work out so well for me). I don't see any reason why you or anyone else need comment on my personal choices, as that's each person's own business. Unless you don't believe in free will and want to impose your lifestyle on me?
  22. Agreed, I think that it looks cool but would be a pain in the butt to actually play (not that I know anything at all about Go).
  23. Hey Tommy, I had no idea that you posted on this forum! I'm vegan also, and just tried the Impossible Whopper at a local Burger King today. The experience wasn't entirely authentic, but it was pretty good nonetheless. If they can find a way to make it completely non-GMO (and lower the price point - $7.29 here), I would probably be up for it more than once.
  24. Your sprite work is very nice, TIX. You have mad pixel skills.
