I'd like to find a source for black keyboards too! Tex*In Treasures, when the website was up, used to sell the beige keyboards brand new for $5. They were packaged in either Tandy or Radio Shack Branded bags like S1500 was talking about. I believe Tandy bought the keyboard overstock when TI gave up on the home computer business. I don't remember them referencing they were made for the 4A on the packaging, as they were packed as a hobbyist keyboard that could be used on anything, but they were indeed 4A keyboards. I remember only seeing them in beige, not black. TI must of used up all their black keyboards as the beige one was the last model of the 4A to be built.

I'm near buffalo. I just saw this thread.
Just wondering if there were any of you AAers out there from around Western Ny; I myself am from around Rochester.

I guess you must have forgot all the shortcommings of all the old systems and games before. SO I AGREE! Get yourself a Wii. Enjoy the Superior games on it
Or just be like most of us older video game fans and simply get a Wii, PS3, and 360 and thus render all rants moot

LOL, exactly

My family had a TI 99/4A computer at one time. The only cartridge game I remember having was Hunt The Wumpus, which was something you could play in BASIC programming from one of Creative Computing's books on BASIC games. It didn't last us long enough for me to take advantage of getting any Atarisoft game titles, though. Big shame.
I remember Hunt the Wumpus! I also played the heck out of Star Trek and programmed in basic all the time
I also used the add on speech synth to make it say some choice things, lol -
I got 2 of the 40 gig PS3's when walmart had them with a 100 dollar gift card offer. One for my wife, and one for the kid to share. Each of them already has a PS2, as do my wife and I. That and all the other poor forgotten systems we have

As for myself, I went out and got the MGS Bundle for 499. I haven't looked back since.

I do not post here much, but I enjoy reading the site. Reading this post and seeing the personal Attack on Curt makes me Ill. I think it's totally rediculous and I do believe personal attacks are a bannable offense....
Curt, thanks for all you have done for the Atari community. I love your Museum site and I have both of your flashback products. My kids and I love them.

I found one yesterday @ my Local Walmart Supercenter. I got it for $9 even. I had a gentleman there check for any more that might be in stock, and was told the one i had was the last one. He also said this item was being delelted.
I should check the NON supercenter walmart closer to my house, see if I can pick another one up.

I have Super Mario Bros and Bomberman Classic NES GBA Games. Super Mario Bros plays just like i remember it, and the game looks and plays, in my opinion, perfectly in the small gba screen. Bomberman get on my nerves after a while, and pretty much sits in a drawer anymore

Thanks for the good word, Curt!!!

Did the joystick feel as heavy as a standard CX40?

So has anyone come through for you on that Color Classic? My girlfriend always talks about some PD game called "Solarian" (I think it's PD anyway...) all misty eyed. I've never found a color classic at thrifts - only the earliest B/W Mac. If this is the right kind of Mac for Solarian, I'd be interested as her birthday is the first of next month.
Had some people interested, but nothing solid. System is still for sale.

I know I cant wait much longer....
Curt, are you available for comment on the release date?

Thanks for the compliment

Your right, it isnt a lightweight, but It's not too terribly heavy.

eMac for $75, thoughts?

The older eMac's, such as the 700 Mhz flavor, have amazing quality harman/kardon speakers. The newer models such as the 1.25ghz variety do not sound half as good as I believe they use some generic speakers. If you turn up the volume on the 1.25ghz model, you get waves/distortion on the screen from the speakers. Not sure if It's a shielding problem or not, but the 700Mhz model did not have those issues at high volume.
