XT,
I've found some good stuff at the Walden Super Flea myself. This past weekend, I found a 6-switch woody and Krull. Have recently found Checkers by Activision, Swordquest earthworld and Fireworld, and Concentration. Just gotta be right place, right time

My best flea market find to this day was finding a MIB Chase the Chuckwagon. Near perfect box, mint instructions and mint cartridge, looked like it was NEVER used. Price? 50 cents
nice find, damn

XT, that Alein wouldn't have its box & manual, would it? I'm looking for a complete copy, and would be interested in buying it from you if so.
sorry, its just the catridge, no box or manual, albeit its in damn good shape

Hello all,
Not much atari stuff here anymore, best place to go in this area is the walden super flea, and finding anything besides combat and pacman is getting scarce. I was lucky and pick up smurfs: gargamels castle and also alien for the 2600 got them for 3 bux each. I talked to a few collectors and they said there hasnt been any good atari stuff in years, and they are there as son as it opens week after week. Just ocassionally do you get the rare find. My best find so far was a almost unused atari 2600 4 switch in the box complete with combat, all manuals, the bubble wrap, controllers, and switch box and ac adapter all put into their orginal places in the box. I got it for 15 dollars

any good finds this weekend?

Hi all,
Google.com recently purchased the dejanews's usenet service and complete backups from other various sources. you can search for anything from todays date back to 1981! I found stuff on the introduction of the atari vcs, and i even found some old pre release information on my old car. Their are even people talking excitedly about the launch of the jaguar and what they hope it will be. Just go to google.com go to the groups icon, click that and then click advanced search on the very top, then set your date options and off you go, this is awesome stuff

this is a example of what i found :

Being a lover of video games, the time has come to purchase
a unit for home use. After many hours of reading, I have
come to two choices, Atari 5200 or Colecovision. Each have
pros and cons. This is a plea for help. If you have an
opinion about either of these units and hopefully a conclusion
as to which one you would buy, I am interested. Please give your
reason why you chose either system. I presently own no home
computer or game unit presently. Your help would be greatly
appreciated.

Interested in opening correspondence with players of
Swordquest (Atari VCS 2600).
I have spent some time on Earthworld and am currently in Fireworld.
For the uninitiated, Swordquest is a series of four cartridges
that require you to derive clues by traversing rooms and leaving
objects in them appropriately. Clues to date have directed you
to pages in a comic book (supplied) which contain "hidden" words.
Atari provides deadline dates for each cartridge and offers prizes
to those who "find" the correct clue words. As the Earthworld
deadline has passed there should be no limitations on discussions,
as for Fireworld - we all have until July 15 to play .....
Please rsvp via net mail - thanks, Fred Hicinbothem at above path ...

Yup, a Genesis controllers works great. I use one myself, much easier on the hands. It helped me get 115,000 on centipeded for my 2600

Hey guys,
thanks for the responses!
love this thing! the joysticks looked never used, still have that break em in before you use em feel. the paddles are firm and resonsive, they feel untouched. the system is immaculate, not 1 scratch. the rf switch and ac adapter were in their original boxes too, the cellophane was still on the ac adpapter and like i said before, the box loks like it just came off the shelf, i need a digital camera!! id show u guys. I couldnt believe she let me have it for 15 bux. I have a 4 switch that was garage sale find as my old sears telegames i sold stupidly a long time ago. but never did like that system much anyway, the look of it. my other atari, 6 button heavy sixer, broke many years ago, that was my first atari, my grandfather who bought it, threw it away when we couldnt fix it. so he went to a garage sale and bought me the 4 switch for like 5 dollars and 25 games nice to have a new 2600. could of years ago, when i had a choice between a nintendo 8 bit or a 2600 jr. i liked the nintendo, but when i look back on it, i really should of took the 2600. I have a few of the newer gaming systems, but i find myself going to the atari more and more and letting the other systems collect the dust.
bored in buffalo

Hey all,
Got back from the flea market yesterday, found something i never thought i would, a almost new, boxed atari 2600 system. came with everything, 2 joysticks, paddles, combat orifinal rf switch and ac adapter, all original, even the manual, twist ties and buble wrap, the sticker on the absolutely mint box says it was 149.97 at brand names here is western new york, purchased in 1981. it is the 4 switch woodgrain model. i never thought id own such a perfect combo like this, with my other systems being mostly piece together from mine and other family members who handed them over, including a sears tele games. I ran over when i saw the box, it was all packed inside, she only wanted 25 for it, when i was about to say sold, she told me i could have it for 15 bux, cha ching! im in atari heaven again. Picked up a copy of centiped again, was missing that, got the wife to play it for the first time in about 10 years, and she gets 90,000 on it. is that good? i think the games locks up at 99,000 right? god, im lucky if hit 40k !

Hi all,
This is my first post here and im very happy to be part of all this again, brings back alot of memories. I do have a few 2600's 6 switch and 4 switch, but what im looking for is a atari 2600 jr. I never had one but had the chance to play with one a few years back and i loved the portibility of it. I had a chance to get one a few years ago but passed, how stupid! anyhow, does anybody know where i can get one online or around the buffalo, ny area i even seen a few places online that were selling them new, but they were all sold out and unupdated.
Thanks
Chris
