40GB - more info Here You could also buy a Linux Kit for the PS2 (to run on it's own hard drive). I bought my HDD for the Ps2 the day it launched in the US and have been playing Final Fantasy XI on it casually ever since - this past years Halloween and Christmas Events were very entertaining and look just fine on my Ps2 from the comfort of my easy chair and surround sound system.

Got my order in -- the 'Holiday Cart' is becoming a yearly tradition in our househould. Thanks, Al!

http://www.quantum-link.org/ ^ Prepare to be BLOWN AWAY if you ever used Quantum-Link back in the day. Apparently this has been out for awhile but these guys actually have Quantum-Link up and running and you can access it via either a Commodore Emulator or actual Commodore Hardware!! There is an 'easy' startup package (for Windows) here: http://www.jbrain.com/pub/cbm/emulators/QLinkWinVICE.exe A lot of Quantum-Link isn't working yet but the People Connection works great (10 people chatting there now) and you can play games, send email, read annoucements, etc. Hope to see all you old Q-Linkers there!!

Hello - the NES GBA SP has been sold. The Nomad is currently in negotiation with a few folks in the waiting list. There has been one interest in the Intellivision to which I have to respond to - look for a PM. The other items are still available - thanks, everyone.
-
OK - time to sell off some things - I will be posting pictures in the next day or two but wanted to gauge interest and get a pecking order if folks start raising their hands: 1) Commodore SX-64 - MINT condition. All paint and parts are intact - no damanged keys - has been stored in basement for many years - looks brand new. Includes SX-64 Felt Bag for accessories and a bunch of Commodore software (mostly games but has some education / musical title). Based on how much these sell for on Ebay and the condition I'm looking in the $250 range (sans shipping) 2) Intellivision - Excellent condition - only a few minor scratches. Both gamepads work flawlessly. Also includes a ton of games $75 3) Nintendo GBA SP (NES Edition) - Only played once for testing purposes. Will include Legend of Zelda. System comes with original packaging. $60 4) Sega Nomad Portable Gaming System - Excellent condition. Includes AC Adaptor and Battery pack. Phantasy Star III and AD&D game included - comes with original packaging. $50 5) Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer with awesome custom made Dust Cover by Lee Kruger's wife! System is in fabulous shape - includes original gray power adaptor and a bunch of games. $100 All prices are negotiable (must use pay into PayPal) - first come first served - as mentioned above I'll be working on photos tomorrow evening. If no interest here I'll more than likely be BIN-ing on EBay. Thank you for your consideration, Ken aka AtariK2

Thank you, BlackAtarian!! You have OFFICIALLY started me on a quest to score a Tandy Color Computer and this game. I had forgotten all about the CoCo - how I used to look at those Radio Shack ads and long for being able to own one!! Thanks again - going to be some good times.

Some Lemmings Love for you old Amiga fans out there

No worries. It uses Javascript via DHTML which theoretically should run under Safari... You could always fire up a Mac Amiga Emulator! -

According to the web site, "You will be needing a modern browser and a fairly fast PC to play this game. IE5.5+ or a recent Mozilla / Opera version and a 500+ Mhz processor should do, but more power is better." I'm running it on a Pentium 4 with IE 6 and it runs silky smooth - brings back great memories! -

Not particularly - the PC (DOS) selection screen doesn't really look anything at all like this one. In fact the PC (DOS) and the Amiga intro screens were quite similar back in the day: PC (DOS) Selection Screen: Amiga Selection Screen: Browser Selection Screen: In terms of the actual game -- which you would know about if you were using a browser that supported DHTML -- it's quite faithful to the Amiga original look and feel.. -

SteveW: What Browser (and Version are you using)? Runs GREAT in IE 6 and looks (and sounds) very much like Lemmings on the trusty Amiga: -
You'll find the original Lemmings faithfully reproduced within your Browser -- including all the graphics, sound and zippy musical tunes of yesteryear! Can YOU save 100% of the Lemmings?! Enjoy!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWA:IT All I can say is....WOW! 1,000.00 bucks!? My SX-64 is in flawless condition and I even have the original velvet accessory bag - maybe it's time to sell! I can't believe an SX went for that much!!

I emulated ToD flawlessly several years ago - since it's been awhile I don't remember which emu, etc. but it was definitely a treat to fire up one of my earliest RPG experiences from my youth.

Check THIS out for the other opposite extreme when it comes to Top Loaders.

Congratulations and Welcome to the Squadron - GREAT score!!
-
It looks like my color palette is more amusing - either my Heavy Sixer needs a pot adjustment or it's my 'vintage' TV Keep at it - you are very close!

This thread inspired me to try SCSIcide for the first time. I received it a few days ago from the AtariAge.com Store and absolutely love it (how can you not like a great paddle game?) Below is my new High Score: 195A06 (Level 19)
-
Thomas - what wave did you get to with that score? Nice Job! I'm starting to think that they set the point total (3,500) too low for the "Elite Squadron"!
-
I was torn between the cloth or the vinyl. I went with 'viny is final' for more of the retro feel (I had several vinyl covers for things growing up - i.e. Commodore 64, ColecoVision, etc.) Buck - I like your High Score idea - I wish AtariAge would have more contests. What was fun about this one (besides the obvious nostalgia with a patch and letter) was that it wasn't about getting the highest score - only breaking a barrier that wasn't easily done in the first few gaming sessions. In other words you had to practice! It would be cool if similar water marks were set with other games...
-
I finally did it! The "Peoples of the Earth Forces" can rest a little easier tonight. It felt Gsticking it to that insidious EXIDY Coalition! Big THANKS to all who have made this contest possible!! (Including Lori Krueger whose amazing retro work extends beyond the patch to include the speciality Dust Cover above that was placed near the trusty Heavy Sixer -- proving to be the difference!)
