  1. Hi folks! Just wondering if anyone here has good scans of cart #2, #3 boxes and/or manuals. I'm also looking for screenshots if nobody has scans of the boxes. I have many pictures but they are too small to see "exactly" how the games looks like. Thanks in advanced! --- Sly DC ---
  2. Hi Pixelboy, Me and Daniel Bienvenu tried to adapt the Atari Paddle and the Atari Driving Controller on the Colecovision for Daniel's game: Double Breakout. And sad to say that the paddle or driving controller doesn't have a "fast" response, both gives a very slow response when moving the paddle. We had to spin either paddles so fast just to move 2-3 pixels (the paddle bar on screen in the game). So after that, Daniel completely abandoned the paddle bit and went for the Driving Module, the Roller Controller and the Spinner on the Super Action Controllers for moving the paddle bar in the game, which either 3 works top notch! if you want to port a smaller "paddle", try with an old PC mouse (with serial connector). that's what i was going to do but never had the time to try it out. And thanks for replying for the Adam 256K RAM schematic, i'll contact the person you mention ASAP. --- Sly DC ---
  3. @Tony: Onced the console opened, check on the reverse side of the board (soldered side), you will see at each end of the expansion port the number 31 and 60. Start backward with pin 60 (warning: pin 58 and 59 are together) and count 9 pins from pin 60 (since 58 & 59 are together). Let me know onced you've made the little mod. Have fun! @remowilliams: Hummm....good question here. I've never left the pause button ON for more than 3-4 minutes. Think i'll leave the "pause" ON for an hour just to see if it may cause a RAM refresh. I'll test that this week and thanks for pointing that issue out. --- Sly (gone for the week-end) DC ---
  4. Hi Tony! No problem, glad to share infos!! There are no issue with the console nor crashing any game(s). When switching ON, it only HALT (freeze) the game in the process and stays that way UNTIL you switch OFF. I tried it with 5 different games and switching ON and OFF at least 20 times for each games and it didn't damaged the carts or the system. And when you switch OFF, the game starts EXACTY where you "paused" and it doesn't reset the system or the game. Enjoy modding your Colecovision! --- Sly (back from the limbo) DC ---
  5. Hi Folks! It's been a llllooonnnggggggg time that i haven't posted here. So...some of you want to add a "pause" button on your Colecovision ? It's so simple! Just use a simple switch. One wire soldered to the ground and the other soldered to PIN #50 (the /WAIT signal) of the expansion port. And voila! You'll have your "Pause" button working for every games. When you switch the button ON, it will FREEZE the game and if there is a note (sound) at the time you switch ON, the note will play indefinitely UNTIL you switch the button OFF. What i suggest when you pause a game, turn the TV off until you get back playing, this way you won't hear any sounds and mostly, you won't get any "burn-in" in the TV tube (like arcade monitors). Enjoy!! --- Sly (back from the dead) DC ---

  8. My favorite game of all time...... VANGUARD!!! Yes, that's right...Vanguard. I have it in cartridge thanks to a wonderful person who live in Israel who made me a cartridge version of Vanguard. I'll try to get a picture of the cartridge with my digital camera soon. And NO....it's not for sale or trade. I'll DIE with it, that you can count on it.
