Ralph: It's possible to add the folder support from FinalGROM99 to FlashROM99? That would be beyond cool
-
And, BTW I WANT ONE TOO !!!!
-
it'll support folders, so I think the menu will be hierarchical too...
-
The FinalGROM cartridge, indeed!!

Weird problem - need advice! Green screen of death!

CALL LOAD works? I had a toasted 32K card and CALL LOAD gave me a SYNTAX ERROR If CALL LOAD works you can use a XB program to test the memory (typing it from the console) or just use a Mini Memory and a TI BASIC program to do the same if CALL LOAD didn't work in XB Good Luck -
I think ralph (Flashrom99 creator) is prototyping exactly that right now

All we need now is a cheap/easily available SAMS card

Good news everyone!!

Any plan to make a 256K or 512K flashrom99+ with the alternate larger design? Some games can´t fit in 32K. Removing the 171 files limitation would be nice too

Mini memory is too small or incompatible with DOS binaries. Didn´t work I had success loading E/A 5 (with LOAD) and E/A 3 (with FIX80) in most cases but not always. So the 4ADOS present in FR99 definitely can load E/A programs. Actually I'm using DSK1 for chara1 and DSK3 for E/A programs. Less disk swapping X commands are a lost cause Guillermo

For PAL models, if you have a component or scart input in your TV/display, you can just inject the YPbPr signal to it with a custom cable. I'm doing exactly that with my PAL TI99 and a Sony LCD. In some screens colors look too blue as the Pb signal isn´t standard but in an old Panasonic plasma with a Scart card it looks really good. Maybe you can convert YPbPr to HDMI directly (I've read some success stories online)

Thanks for the answers. Another question: E/A functionality really works in 4A/DOS running from flashrom99?. As I see, the supercart with 8K RAM also have a E/A GROM. That GROM isn't present in FR99. That can be the reason I'm unable to load anything that works? Also, can a MiniMemory module be used instead of the supercart?

Hi: I'm trying to do something with 4A/DOS. I'm able to boot it using the ROM image from FLASROM99, and the 4A-DOS.dsk converted to hfe in the Lotharek. I was unable to load DOS directly from disk using E/A, as it never show in the menu after loading it and soft reset. Something to do with loading E/A from FlashRom99? I don't know. Also I don't know what the different DOS/xx files do, except I can use DOS/O with the F18A. Anyway, using the ROM image and getting chara1 from disk works, but after that I don't know how to use the thing The PDF made by Omega is too succinct to my taste There is a more complete documentation somewhere?? For example I have no idea what to do inside the editor. Also when I tried to run something from disk with LOAD FIX80 or X I don't know what to do X CHKDSK loads and then nothing. I need to use some extra parameters? I can use it to load E/A option 5 files? Basic programs? No idea. All I can do is changing drives with vol and listing them with dir. That´s it? I hope not. It`s possible to use MDOS instead? HELP Regards Guillermo

Interesting to know. but it´s possible to have the rom part in ROM in a cartridge (or in Flashrom99) and the GROM part in RAM (loaded from disk in the 32K exp)?
-
Sorry about my ignorance, but why some GROM based games as Parsec can be run from FlashRom99 with the 32K expansion (or from diskette) and some, as Tutankam, can´t?

I'm asking in the local online market if any of the TI99 available has the spanish 1982 screen. Some are USA consoles, but a few are local ones... If I have some positive answers I'll tell you. Guillermo -

Thanks!! Sadly no, vanilla 1981 english title screen. Probably a early model, as the power supply is a ti99/4 one. Also the console is in pretty bad shape, the keyboard needs a replacement, and I even needed to patch ADDR1 line in the external bus as the trace was broken, and the PEB didn't work. Now I can add the JedPeb to it The USA one is in mint condition however. Also 1981. The C64 is also a "Local" one (Drean Commodore 64). -

gfreige replied to gheller-iii's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
I'm waiting a cable I bought from him a month ago, but as I have no tracking, and knowing my customs office, I can wait easily another month to receive it!! -
