  1. I admit to liking both NY pizza and Chicago deep dish pizza. Yes, I've been to both Chicago and Upstate NY.

I like both too and most forms in between!...True Chicago Deep Dish though, where the cheese is an ocean and the toppings are swimming in it, lots of inches thick, with the sauce on top (Giordano's on Randolph St. FTW!)...OMG  That is one of the true delights of the World!

@Curious Sofa  We have Jet's Pizza here, which I believe comes from the "Detroit" style.  I do like it.  It's definitely a thicker crust, but not too heavy.

And as @GoldLeader mentioned, Giordano's is also one of my favorites.  As is the other Chicago mainstay, Lou Malnati's.   I'm just a deep dish fan.  Really hard to get in my area sadly.

I guess I have somehow become a regional pizza connoisseur.

I kind of prefer deep dish (and there's a great Chicago-style deep dish shop in NE Portland) but some thin crust pizzas can be good.. I need it with lots of cheese and sauce though.
