The Lancia Stratos HF:

It just may be the best car Lancia, if not all of Italy, has ever produced.

  I will say that the Stratos is the best Lancia ever. No doubt about that. However, as far as being the greatest car Italy has ever produced, I can't go there. IMO, the greatest Italian car ever produced was the Ferrari F40. Just my opinion as there are lots of other really good possibilities for the title.

  But what about the Fulvia. The Delta. The Beta 037. The Thema 8.32.

  All of the ones you mentioned bluejay are great rides for sure. But, I think the Stratos has those beat as it is a rally legend and iconic car whereas the others just are not. However, again, just my opinion.
