I'm back, but my computer is still stuck repairing disk errors. That is quite infuriating.

  The only way out of this is to retrieve the important files and then replace the disk. Once errors start happening it's a gonner. 30 years experience tells that.

  Just get name-brand storage. And conduct regularly scheduled backups. I currently do mine every 6 months unless I've done a ton of work all of a sudden.
