  1. Twisted Metal 4's Unity remake has gotten some progress:

  2. Big P looks like it could match Higan/BSNES, Ootake, and Duckstation in terms of compatibility and accuracy.
  3. What's this, a Saturn Homebrew demo? I concur with Richard Jaques' Sonic 3D soundtrack for the Saturn; it is awesome.
  4. Xeno Crisis just may be the most ported homebrew game in recent history.
  5. For those who remember The Neverhood:

    and Skullmonkeys:

Memo to Electronic Farts: Maybe you should just sell the rights back to Doug TenNapel if you aren't going to use them?

The Neverhood is one I always regret not buying back in the day, it looked fun.

Well that's just rubbing it in!  :D

  6. The cancelled Magician Lord Pocket on real hardware:
  7. Hey, do you think that a Neo Geo version of Earthworm Jim be doable?
  8. Am I the only one who is in the middle on the Saturn versions of Sonic 3D Blast and Earthworm Jim 2? On one hand, they are solidly made, but on the other hand, they aren't much of an improvement over the Genesis versions. However, the Saturn version of 3D Blast's bonus stages help it stand out more.
  9. Hmm...that's a good point, which makes it more important for homebrew developers to fill the void. Ashita no Joe deserved much better than that sad excuse of a release.
  10. I'd love to, but most of what I draw, quite frankly, sucks.
  11. @Franjo That's very nice, and I bet that you would be an excellent box/cover artist. In regards to the various ports of Neo Geo games, I bet the Atari Falcon 030+ and the Amiga 1200-4000 could handle several with few, if any compromises.
  12. Something for Atari Falcon fans:

  13. Speaking of weird PS2 games, I bet you would like Over Zenith/Sword of Etheria by Konami. Think of it as Devil May Cry meets L. Frank Baum, Johnny Young Bosch, Wendee Lee, Mona Marshall, and a few other Power Rangers cast members/Saban regulars. Another game for the same system I would also recommend is Bujingai by Taito and Red Entertainment. It's PS2 Shinobi with Gackt, Roger L. Jackson from Scream, and a D-grade story that doesn't take itself seriously. Plus, it has a deep combo system that puts a lot of Action RPGs to shame.
  14. Boulder Punch does Night Trap.

  15. We should be thankful for Working Designs closing its doors in 2005, and here's hoping that Mr. Ireland isn't repeating the same mistakes with his current company, Gaijin Works. (Don't hold your breath, however.)
  16. For those who played Vectorman:

Keep in mind that these aren't the artist's best, so bear with me.

  17. Funnily enough, @Madwindoman Sgt. Slaughter was at Showcase Comic-Con last month.
  18. It isn't often that you cover Nichibutsu/Nihon Bussan games, and you'd be surprised at what they made from '85 onwards.
  19. For those who wanted to make their own animatronics:

I bet that @awbacon would like this.

      lolol that thumbnail is terrifying

  20. Conker's Quest/Twelve Tales Conker 64: Still better than what Rare and Microsoft did with the character since 2005.
  21. I finally rediscovered the samples section of Furnace Tracker, but I now have to deal with getting synth samples to playback properly. If anyone here knows how to get them playing the right notes, I will greatly appreciate that. (This is for the Neo Geo's ADPCM channels and Amiga chip.)
