I have to choose one car under $12,000 dollars, and must be within ten miles of Slidell, Louisiana.
-
Would it be a problem if I were to say that I dislike MGS2 and 4?
-
Attention indie studios and aspiring developers: don't give people overlong cutscenes that can just be covered in two minutes or less. Avoid repeating the mistakes made during the CD-ROM era.

@SlidellMan - Basted? That didn't translate well when it entered my brain. First thing I thought of was AI ... Artificial Insemination.
-
@Ryan Witmer Same here.
-
Dennis the Menace is one of my favorite franchises, but I don't want a revival unless it is competant and funny.
-
I don't know if anyone here remembers Sliders, but:

I think it would be cool if there was a new show, with a new group of people, set in the universe of Sliders! But not a rehash of old story lines...I'd want to see new stuff: like here Dinosaurs rule the Earth, and in that one they use Beer as money, but over there they use horror movies as a template for Society...

Piggsy just released two SGDK tutorial videos:
He and One Lone Coder are the coding tutorial gold standard.

I have written 10,293 words in my script so far. Longer than anything that I have previously written, and unlike all those writing assignments I did for school, I'm actually focusing my efforts.

RIP Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner. Also, RIP to that one cast member from ALF whose name evades me.
-
In regards to the deaths of Curt Vendel, Nukey Shay, and Drac is Back: I am terribly sorry.

Another one of my dogs has died...

Cruisin' the Coast had a good turnout today. Got to see another '65 Dart GT, a '72 International 1310D, two Lincoln Mark IIIs, a '76 Olds Omega, and a tricked out 2-Door Maverick, among other things.
-
I admit to liking International's pickup trucks. If your work truck also wins points in the style department, it is safe to say that they did something very right. (Ditto for the Scout and TravelAll.)

I'm back, but my computer is still stuck repairing disk errors. That is quite infuriating.
-
Friendly reminder that licensed music is why the Psygnosis-era Wipeout games haven't been re-released on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Store. I'm talking about the DOS/Windows 95 ports, by the way. (Ditto for Wipeout 64.)

QuoteIt's The Wonder Years and WKRP in Cincinnati all over again...
Northern Exposure as well. I was disappointed with the DVDs because they replaced a lot of the original music from season 2 on. I was quite happy a couple years ago when I discovered it was remastered in HD and released with all the original music. Minor issue though, it's from the UK so you need to be able to handle Region B discs (which I can).

The original Arkanoid, still great to this day. Even if I wasn't much good at it.

Well, the NES did get a port with a specially-made paddle controller, and said paddle was also compatible with the Sequel's port. The 7800 port of Arkanoid is done and is not just compatible with the 2600 paddles, but the Atari ST and Amiga mice, too! I await @mksmith's decision to green light a port of Revenge of DOH.
-
@SlidellMan If I can ever sort out the ball the ball movement that will probably happen!! The last version I released should be compatible with the paddles no probs.

@joeatari1 Same here, and his brand of irreverence would never be allowed on film and television nowadays.

Well, today's my birthday, and I decided to go eat sushi to celebrate.

My rankings of Bandai Namco's Tales of series (So far): Symphonia, Phantasia (SNES), Dawn of the New World.*

Yeah, the PS2 version is bad. I heard it was bad when it released in ~2004 or so, but then I actually bought it in 2009 when I moved to Japan. It runs at half the framerate of the Gamecube version with additional framerate drops on top of that and super muddy textures. I think the reason that they ported the PS2 version was because of all of the extra stuff that they added in that version. I can't think of any other reason why they would choose that version.

Ranma 1/2 is still funny to this very day.

Has anyone seen Addams Family Reunion? (Yes, there was a third Addams Family movie that was straight to video and was released around '98.)
-
One adaptation of The Grinch is enough.

I'm currently binge watching the Kirby anime. Oh, and Krull is a criminally underrated movie.

I just wanted to post the song but... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFlcS-hGgME Pay attention Sony! This has been up for a year already!

The first 78 episodes of The Real Ghostbusters have aged well in terms of writing and characterization. It sucks that ABC and Q5's meddling forced J Michael Straczinski to leave.

I remember thinking how much I preferred the cartoon to the second movie! I had no idea there were so many episodes. They should have had J. Michael Straczynski write the second movie...I could imagine a Great movie starting with an encounter with the Thing in Faversham's Attic...Maybe have it end up in another dimension, or have them find something like that spinning axis under Manhattan.

I'm now on Bandcamp and Bitchute.
