I'd get a mid to late 60's 'Merican convertible with a small block V8 or even a straight 6. It'd be a nice cruiser to take up to DQ. My friend has a '68 Buick convertible that he bought for $6k in mint shape off the original owner's family.

Maybe consider an A-body Mopar like a Dodge Dart Swinger/Plymouth Scamp. They look nicer than a Nova in my opinion.

I think it would be cool if there was a new show,  with a new group of people,  set in the universe of Sliders!  But not a rehash of old story lines...I'd want to see new stuff:  like here Dinosaurs rule the Earth,  and in that one they use Beer as money,  but over there they use horror movies as a template for Society...

    4. simbalion

      simbalion

I like International's pickups and the scouts, but Ohio was murder on them. People ran them into the ground and the road salt did the rest. I did find a couple good examples years ago, but the guy had moved and lost the titles. Also typical Ohio there.

      I know.

I just think if I ever did a Video Game, Movie, TV Show or other creation,  I'd only use a "One time Fee" licensing...(No residuals nor royalties).  You'd simply offer more up front,  then if the band turned it down you'd get someone else who wants to do it.   Just my reasoning.

Northern Exposure as well. I was disappointed with the DVDs because they replaced a lot of the original music from season 2 on. I was quite happy a couple years ago when I discovered it was remastered in HD and released with all the original music. Minor issue though, it's from the UK so you need to be able to handle Region B discs (which I can).

    4. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

I have 3 seasons of Northern Exposure DVDs but I've only ever watched a handful of episodes...I saw most when it ran in syndication.  I did not realize that about the music...HMMMmmm...🤬

Well, the NES did get a port with a specially-made paddle controller, and said paddle was also compatible with the Sequel's port. The 7800 port of Arkanoid is done and is not just compatible with the 2600 paddles, but the Atari ST and Amiga mice, too! I await @mksmith's decision to green light a port of Revenge of DOH.

So that explains the blurrier, more pixelated textures.

    3. Steven Pendleton

      Steven Pendleton

Yeah, the PS2 version is bad. I heard it was bad when it released in ~2004 or so, but then I actually bought it in 2009 when I moved to Japan. It runs at half the framerate of the Gamecube version with additional framerate drops on top of that and super muddy textures. I think the reason that they ported the PS2 version was because of all of the extra stuff that they added in that version. I can't think of any other reason why they would choose that version.

    4. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

Yeah, ideally, the Hi-Def version should have had much better textures than what they went with. To tell you the truth, Bandai Namco should also have ported it, along with Destiny DC, Destiny 2, and Rebirth on the 3DS. (Seeing that it got a port of Abyss.)
