  2. What was the point of Children of the Corn 4: The Gathering if it doesn't have any ties to Stephen King's story and the first three films? It could have easily worked as an original title. (Ditto for CotC5.)

I had no idea there were so many sequels. Did you watch all the Jaws or Jurassic Park films, too?

At least Halloween 3 was good. (I am not being backhanded.)

It would have been more interesting if they worshipped-- and planned to resurrect-- Orville Redenbacher!

  3. I know it has been twenty years, but as bad as the first Inspector Gadget film is; the movie had potential to be legitimately good.

I agree with this, the cartoon was great.

The cartoon used to come on right as I had to leave for school...Only ever saw it on days off, sick days, well and part of Summer...

  4. I'm still surprised that Taco Tico still exits despite all the locations close to me closing down. I wonder if there are any other former iconic restaurant chains still open on technicality?

I know I've read about several chains that are down to one or two remaining locations, but I can't think of any names right off hand (a lot of them are chains that were "iconic" in other parts of the country and never made it to my neck of the woods). I did eat a ton of Taco Tico in high school though. Tico > Bell.

Dog N Suds, in its heyday in the early - mid 70's had 700 locations nationwide (Mostly east and midwest I think,) and now are down to just 12.

      GoldLeader

Sounds about right hahaa...Like I always say...I'm holding out for a live action Tetris movie.

  7. Ernest Goes to Jail is still funny to this very day.

That's worthy of a chortle or two.

  9. I have written 10,293 words in my script so far. Longer than anything that I have previously written, and unlike all those writing assignments I did for school, I'm actually focusing my efforts.

  10. I'm thinking about taking music commissions. So, if you need music for your indie game, just drop me a line.

  11. If you're going to shut down a game's servers, at least give those who paid for it the options to set up their own and can still play it offline. Otherwise, prepare for open, savage mockery.

  12. Currently binge watching old Disney cartoons. If only most of those working on Disney TVA could put forth the effort of Carl Barks, Ham Luske, etc.

  13. Wild animals must really like Conan O'Brien...

  14. Kirby Re-animated:

  15. Reminder that all of 4Kids' Pokemon voice actors also worked for Central Park Media. You know, that NYC dubbing company that brought us MD Geist and The Slayers. (The former is "So bad, it's good" material; the latter is still great to this very day.

  16. Ranma 1/2 is still funny to this very day.

@imstarryeyed: Dirty Pair is criminally underrated. @retrorussell: Shampoo was the best character in the early episodes.

  17. I'm not the best when it comes to Latin, but is Lucifugus pronounced /Lü-kē-fü-güs/ or /Lü-chē-fü-güs/?

    1. D Train

      D Train

it depends on whether you are trying to pronounce church latin or classical latin. Classical reads 'c' as 'k', while church latin would read it as 'ch' in this case. according to my high school latin, which is now 35+ years old.

  21. Has anyone seen Addams Family Reunion? (Yes, there was a third Addams Family movie that was straight to video and was released around '98.)

H.E.R.O., Deepthaw: Agreed. While I do think that a revival is doable, but for a comic revival to be good, it would have someone very familiar with the old comics, TV shows, etc.
