  1. As a fan of Super Sprint and Championship Sprint, this is great news.
  2. By the way, Guardians is the sequel to Denjin Makai, which did get ported to the Super NES. Just had to mention that here.
  3. I think adding more tracks and the Satellaview-exclusive machines would be a great idea.
  4. If you thought that Haunted Castle was ball-bustingly hard, try the arcade version of Gradius III. Talking about quarter munching overkill.
  5. LGR reviews the MadCatz Panther XL:

This was also made for the Dreamcast, and that trackball makes playing games that require it a lot easier.

  6. Congratulations, Cyrano, on getting this two-for-one release out the door.
  7. The Legend of Kage, MSM 5232 edition:

Taito was originally going to use that chip with this game, but went with FM instead.

    Paradiso Guardian:

    And finally, Basics With Babish:

      Electric Grill restoration.

  8. Electric Underground on Alpha Mission 2/Armored Scrum Object 2: I'd wish they would bring this series back.
  9. The Sega Genesis Ninja Gaiden:

This wasn't Opus' best, but still better than the likes of Beast Warrior.

Ninja Gaiden (Genesis) - The Cutting Room Floor (tcrf.net)

Here's hoping that some ROM hackers make this into a playable game.

Played the heck out of it on NES:

Two other games you should check out, @bent_pin:

The Cutting Room Floor on these games:

Operation Logic Bomb - The Cutting Room Floor (tcrf.net)

As a bonus, the TCRF page for Operation Logic Bomb's prequel:

Fortified Zone - The Cutting Room Floor (tcrf.net)

Too bad that Jaleco went either A) out of business, or B) missing in action after 2006-2007.

  10. Hey, this looks like it has potential, and what you have isn't bad. However, if you need pixel artists, I know several on PixelJoint and Newgrounds.
  11. The Genesis Port of Dragon's Lair has finally been released, and with bug fixes:

https://spacepantsgames.itch.io/ - The free download by the original programmer.

Dragon's Lair (Proto) Fixes by Master Linkuei.ips - Google Drive

Still better than the Super NES version of Space Ace.

@bent_pin Romhacking.net has a patching utility that can be used.

That worked perfectly. It's a lot of fun. I'll have to spend some time playing it but the animation is awesome!

      Thanks for posting it!

  12. I wonder if the art used in Cyborg Force will be for its marquee and instruction panel?
  13. SNES Drunk reviews Obitus: This is a port of the Amiga and ST game by Psygnosis. Something tells me that the problems with this are the same ones that bedeviled the Amiga and ST originals.
  14. I'm experimenting with Melodic Minor modes. Oh, and here's some Bizarro:

By the way, I don't know if anyone remembers ConceptArt.org, but I was a member of their forums, and liked their Character of the Week stuff. Considering that Halloween is around the corner:

  15. Wow, he finally got it to where he can run an MVS. I just e-mailed my friends his video.

  17. Ready 2 Rumble was an underrated game.
  18. As a fan of Bomberman Hero, you did the right thing by including it. Yeah, it flopped to the point where it killed Hudson's US branch, but it is still one of the N64's best games. Hell, I bought it on Wii VC and recommend playing it with the GameCube controller. (Ditto for other N64 Virtual Console titles.) Kirby 64 is also another fine choice. Hal Labs was wise to not go full 3D yet; just keep the gameplay 2D for the time being. Beetle Adventure Racing was one of the best games from Electronic Arts, and it's a shame that EA is a hollow shell of its former self. Kudos for bringing up Space Station Silicon Valley and Rush 2. Both were very underrated, and the former basically paved the way for all three of the PS2 Grand Theft Auto games. Snowboard Kids also has Jack Frost from Megami Tensei as an unlockable. I agree with you on Castlevania 64: it's a flawed game, but it one that I like. (Fun fact: it was the first Castlevania game I played.) It's one of those games that I'd like to do something in the vein of. Sin & Punishment was a great game, but I'll be the first to admit that its story reads like a shitty ripoff of Sliders, and not the good episodes. Chameleon Twist deserves a Hi-Def remaster, and with Sunsoft back on track, it'll happen. Some Nintendo 64 games I recommend: -All of the Turok games. (Nightdive Studios is currently remastering Turok 3.) -Iggy's Reckin' Balls -Both of the Extreme-G games. (Acclaim and Probe at their finest.) -Shadow Man (Based off of the Valiant Comic.) -Shadowgate 64 -Automobili Lamborghini (AKA that one game from Titus that actually was good.) -Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth -Quest 64 (Despite the undeserved negative reputation.) -Both of the Vigilante 8 games. -Mega Man 64 -Resident Evil 2 (Due to the extras Angel Studios/Rockstar San Diego added.) -Lex Legion UX There are also a bunch of ROMhacks and homebrews also worth your time.
  19. Universal Monsters vs. Modern Age Monsters:

    Boxing Bugs (Remember Cinematronics?):

I'd like to see more games use the '77-'86 vector game aesthetic.

Me too!  Loved Vector games and Cinematronics!

  20. Top Gear 3000:

The forgotten futuristic racing game, and I wish Kemco would bring this series back. (Yes, Kemco still exists, but now are making RPGs.)

  21. @Jag_Mag Given your programming skills, maybe you could make a series of video tutorials in regards to programming the Jaguar? I can help with scripting if needed.
  22. There are some good things about the Super NES version of Operation Thunderbolt, but as I said before, Taito would have been better off outsourcing this to a demoscene group. One would be the music, especially the menu theme. The other is the fact that it supports the Super Scope and Mouse, and they actually work well together. The arcade original is still the definitive way to play.
  23. Hey, congratulations on getting the game finished and released.
  24. The history of Acme:

Ever wonder why the name was so prevalent in film in animation? This video explains why.

  25. Superbly said, Tanooki. The only way I'm charging a triple digit price for any of my games is on the sheer amount of content packed in. That, and the game has to be good enough to warrant said price and a 10/10 score.
