  1. If there is one thing that I really appreciate; DC and Warner aren't making a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie. Seriously, even if they had Marv Wolfman back, that event comic just can't be adapted into a feature film.

  2. There's always something about a cat running around a baseball field during a game.
  3. I love Shin Megami Tensei IV and IVA's music! Perfect for wiping the floor with despair elementals, angels, gods, and/or demons.

  4. One adaptation of The Grinch is enough.

The Cartoon is The Grinch as far as I'm concerned, but I will on rare occasion refer to the "Live Action movie featuring Jim Carrey"...See? If ya don't refer to it that way, you mean the cartoon.

Nothing can replace Boris Karloff as well.

  5. Would it be wrong of me to put Flash Gordon, Chip 'n' Dale, and Revenge of the Nerds on my "Franchise revivals that should not happen" list?

Can we please add Leisure Suit Larry to the "never again" list?

  6. Am I the only person here who didn't think Clayfigher 63 1/3 was even remotely bad? Come on, if you have Jim Cummings, Frank Welker, Tress McNeille, Dan Castellaneta, Rob Paulsen, and Charlie Adler from Chip 'n Dale and other late '80s-mid '90s Disney shows, at least Interplay did at least get something right.

    1. CaptainBreakout

      CaptainBreakout

I only played it on emulation (on a modded Xbox), but yeah it didn't seem bad at all to me. Maybe it wasn't Vampire Savior, but that's like comparing an episode of Perfect Strangers to Life of Pi.

      GoldLeader

I haven't played it, but ebay reviews have it at 4.5 Stars, which is pretty damn good!

(advertising jingle) It's NUT very good.

  7. Am I the only person looking forward to Detective Pikachu? And this is coming from someone who lost interest in Pokemon years ago.

i think it looks super cool (and cute)!

I'll definitely be going and seeing Detective Pikachu when it hits theaters! I love the visual style they went with for the pokémon, Pikachu is adorable as all get out, and the story actually seems pretty interesting. Should be a fun film!

  8. I think I found the worst video game cartoon:

I think Mr. Enter should have included this on his Worst Cartoons of the '90s video.
  9. 20 Years later, Banjo-Kazooie is still awesome; 10 years later B-K: Nuts and Bolts fits the definitions of "ill-conceived" and "misbegotten."

I'm not sure I would be able to see the difference nowadays ... the first one has always seemed insufferably fussy to me.

I get the impression with Nuts & Bolts that they wanted a Diddy Kong Racing successor, but didn't put enough thought into making it properly work. I still wanted a proper Banjo-Threeie that built off the first two.

  10. If there is one thing I can say about the recently departed Will Vinton: He was the definitive claymation director of the '80s.

    1. jaybird3rd

      jaybird3rd

I'm not familiar with most of his output, but I loved his claymation work in "Return to Oz." It's so much more interesting to look at than CGI will ever be.

    2. Stephen

      Stephen

If you like claymation, look up Bruce Bickford, especially in relation to Frank Zappa. Also, RIP Will Vinton - did not know about him, but learning now.

What about Nick Park and the Aardman crew? I love Wallace & Gromit, and Chicken Run is a classic!

  11. Is it just me, or did Frank Miller (300 and The Dark Knight Returns) discredit himself?

  12. After I get my '65 Dart back from AAMCO, then it is off to the exhaust shop, and then to deal with the carburetor choke issue. Oh, did anyone besides myself go to Cruisin' the Coast last week?

  13. Two things about the original Ducktales that I still appreciate that no one else does: the background music and the character layouts. One of my gripes with the 2017 show is that the characters are stiff as an erection.

  14. Am I the only person who prefers World of Final Fantasy over FF15?

      I like FFXV Pocket Edition.

    2. Jess Ragan

      Jess Ragan

I wanted to like Final Fantasy XV so much. The road trip theme is great, but the combat is confusing as hell.

  15. I think that Alex Kidd is need of a revival. Seriously, Sega should consider this.

    1. retrorussell

      retrorussell

Make him a little less goofy this time.

    2. Reaperman

      Reaperman

If Sega hears something like 'a little less goofy' they will immediately snap to the grimdark world of child soldiers and make him the most depressing valkyria chronicles dlc.

Only if they get rid of the "one hit kills" :P

  16. In regards to PG wrestling: For daytime shows and regular TV, I can understand; but for late night and Pay Per View events, I think that the matches can be harder and bloodier.

Sadly WWE is now a "Family Friendly" product so we'll never have another Attitude Era again. Check out other stuff like the All In PPV.

    2. BydoEmpire

      BydoEmpire

I haven't followed in WWE in 15 years, but back then they took a hard turn away from being family friendly which was kind of a turn off. In the 80s they didn't take themselves too seriously and it was fun. Then they tried to get all edgy but it was just dumb. My only view into it these days is their ads, but it doesn't seem very family friendly. If they changed back I suppose that's good to know.

  17. When I do a top/bottom list, there will be no easy prey. For example, I'm not going to put Adult Party Ren & Stimpy or Mister Pickles on the list because of some pussy. Nor will I put Teen Titans 2003 in a best slot.

    1. Skippy B. Coyote

      Skippy B. Coyote

I have no idea what you're talking about, but I like the sound of "top/bottom" and "adult party"! =D

It's tough to do a list of the Top Bottoms cuz there are so many...

We're ummm...missing the perfect sense part.

  22. There's just something about the '90s Sailor Moon anime that just keeps me coming back to it.

If my tolerance for 40-50 episode series hadn't dropped I'm sure I'd still be watching it myself now and then. I've been collecting them all on DVD as they come out regardless just in case though.

DZ-Jay: If it was just pig-tails and schoolgirl uniforms, there'd be hundreds of shows to choose from instead of going back to something made in the 90's. ;)

  23. Too bad that Twisted Metal: Harbor City was cancelled. Judging from what was on TMHO Extra Twisted Edition, it fixed the questionable lighting issue from TMB.

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Twisted Metal Games were my Favorite thing in the Universe until the unplayable PS3 version that has NO D-Pad controls...

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

Actually, you controlled with the left analog stick. Plus, it also has the classic control scheme.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Wait! What do U mean it Has the classic control scheme, which would mean you can control it with the D-Pad like in Every other TM game?? I tried it for 3 minutes once and it was horrible because they got rid of the D-pad which now controls the special moves...Is there really a way to play it now>???? HOW?? (Sorry this is The game that killed modern games for me...I had such High hopes...
