  1. This game is more reminiscent of Bomberman Hero and Trails of Nayuta than Pandemonium. Napple Tale sounds like the game the Saturn needed, but never truly got.
  2. The Neo Geo Mahjong keyboard made me wonder why SNK never bothered with a steering wheel peripheral for Riding Hero. @awbacon It is about time that Crossed Swords II got the attention it deserved. By the way, just how many games were exclusive to the Neo Geo CD?
  3. 4. Speaking of Guardian Heroes: https://shmuplations.com/guardianheroes/ I would also bring attention to one Saturn game Treasure made that is often ignored:
  5. The Act Man on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

I've decided that they should be called Stupidly Embarrassing and Vexatious. Get Kirby and the Forgotten Land instead, and any kids you have will have a better time. Game Freak and Running With Scissors have earned their spots on The Biggest Dipshits of 2022.

Before anyone asks why Running With Scissors is on that list, for producing a sequel that is worse than Postal 3. At least we're getting Postal: Brain Damaged.

  6. Chris Covell programmed that F-Zero homebrew all by himself. He even made a series of videos on how to program for the TG16/PCE.
  7. I consider Guardian Heroes to be Treasure's best Saturn game, and it is quite sad that they don't make new games anymore. (Considering the 30th anniversary of Gunstar Heroes, I thought that this was worth mentioning.) Come to think of it, there are a surprising amount of Role-Playing games for the system.
  8. Looks like @Yakumo1975 might have to look into this. Hell, I bet that port would be perfect for Basement Brothers to cover.
  9. I can see an Ikari Warriors revival in the vein of Gears of War, but I'd like to see something new and original from SNK that isn't a wash-rinse-repeat fighting game or Metal Slug rehash.
  10. Shorts, Skits, and Other Shit - Paul Frees Gets High:

    As an added bonus:

  11. Thank you, and a piece of advice: Put the .bas/.78b files in a .zip with the graphics files and folder.
  12. You have ambition for SNES homebrew development, I like that. If you can get into contact with Matthias Nagler (D4s) or Elix, maybe they can help.
  13. Kamui:

This is hands down, the best Shmup on PC.

Oh my.  While shooters have always been one of my favorite genres, bullet hell ones do not interest my old man status!

This one looks like I would enjoy it for about three minutes until I get mad, then go back to 1943/Lifeforce/etc. and the like.  :)

It is one of the best, at least until Out Zone comes in February.

  14. The Jetsons: Invasion of the Planet Pirates Taito's last game based on the '60s Hanna-Barbera show, and was developed by Sting. It was brought over to Japan as Yokai Buster: Ruka's Great Adventure, which improved on what this game did.
  15. Chris Covell's HuZero: These can be downloaded from his website: https://www.chrismcovell.com/creations.html Meet the SuperGrafx by Punkfloyd:
  16. Am I the only person who is in the middle on the Super NES version of Doom? (I have played the DOS original before playing Randy Linden's port, by the way.)

  17. Is this like Lode Runner? (Just curious.)
  18. I don't know if anyone here still remembers Lidsville or Sid & Marty Krofft, but here's a video on its troubled production history:

By the way, I heard from Mark Evanier that the wife of one of the Krofft Brothers died years ago.

      Interesting,

I mainly remember this show, because I thought it didn't air here.  I'm sure I didn't notice (that it did) when I was 1 or 2 years old haha...

But I saw it while on vacation, (a rerun evidently)  and caught a whole episode before my parents wanted to leave the motel and hit the road...

Later I would get it on VHS "The World of Sid & Marty Krofft",  from Columbia House...

I first saw Lidsville, The Bugaloos, Sigmund, and H. R. Pufnstuf on the Family Channel around 25 years ago. Rewatching Pufnstuf and Lidsville last year had me laughing and those two shows have surprisingly aged well.

PS Did not realize that was the kid from The Musters...

(I told everybody it wasn't King Diamond (joke))

  19. Zero Wing for PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16 CD: Samurai Ghost, The sequel to Genpei Toumaden:
  20. If Blastar is in need of pixel artists, I know several on Newgrounds, Pixeljoint, and ConceptArt.org who can help.
  21. PC-Engine/TG-16 CD Strider: This was originally planned to be a SuperGrafx game, but due to that system's failure; Super CD it was.
  22. This is one of the nicest-looking homebrew demos for the system.
