  1. Man, drying out a service manual that got left out in the rain isn't easy.

      I bet it's not!

  2. Man, I've been on a controller design fix for around four hours.

  3. My favorite oxymoron: A world that makes no sense, and perfect sense at the same time.

      GoldLeader

We're ummm...missing the perfect sense part.

  4. My Ideal 20th anniversary version of Duke Nukem 3D would have all the levels, weapons, & enemies from the Plutonium Pack/Atomic Edition, Total Meltdown, 64, Sunstorm Interactive's expansions. Too bad Gearbox Software fucked that event all up.

      MrMaddog

Only thing that made World Tour tolerable for me is it can now be played on eDuke32 along with the other expansion packs.

      eDuke32!! I remember that!!

  5. One adaptation of The Grinch is enough.

The Cartoon is The Grinch as far as I'm concerned, but I will on rare occasion refer to the "Live Action movie featuring Jim Carrey"...See? If ya don't refer to it that way, you mean the cartoon.

Nothing can replace Boris Karloff as well.

  6. Ranma 1/2 is still funny to this very day.

      GoldLeader

I've only seen a little Ranma...But I'm pretty sure I've seen Every Inu Yasha...

@imstarryeyed: Dirty Pair is criminally underrated. @retrorussell: Shampoo was the best character in the early episodes.

  7. Regardless if you hated Midori: Shojo Tsubaki or not; at least it had actual artistic merit.

  8. Reminder that all of 4Kids' Pokemon voice actors also worked for Central Park Media. You know, that NYC dubbing company that brought us MD Geist and The Slayers. (The former is "So bad, it's good" material; the latter is still great to this very day.

  9. RIP Peter Mayhew from the original Star Wars trilogy.

  10. Since HamCorossam's site went under, I wonder if there are any other download links for that freeware game, Gunroad?

  11. So, are there any other non-Warner/DC cartoons that patterned their styles after B:TAS besides Gargoyles, MK: Defenders of the Realm, and The Big O?

  12. The first 78 episodes of The Real Ghostbusters have aged well in terms of writing and characterization. It sucks that ABC and Q5's meddling forced J Michael Straczinski to leave.

Fun fact: Scott Menville's father was one of the show's writers.

Slide: He created the holodeck too, for Star Trek The Animated Series.

I remember thinking how much I preferred the cartoon to the second movie! I had no idea there were so many episodes. They should have had J. Michael Straczynski write the second movie...I could imagine a Great movie starting with an encounter with the Thing in Faversham's Attic...Maybe have it end up in another dimension, or have them find something like that spinning axis under Manhattan.

  13. The first five seasons of MadTV are still great years later! Too bad it went to shit around 2001-2002...

      GoldLeader

Interesting point. I have mixed feelings, because I worked in Pay Per View (Well Master Control), Watching movies All the way through...

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

On a really good night I might process 3 movies almost back to back. At this point opening credits feel predictable, and I liked it when a movie jumped right in or saved "artistry" for the end titles...

  16. There's just something about the '90s Sailor Moon anime that just keeps me coming back to it.

If my tolerance for 40-50 episode series hadn't dropped I'm sure I'd still be watching it myself now and then. I've been collecting them all on DVD as they come out regardless just in case though.

DZ-Jay: If it was just pig-tails and schoolgirl uniforms, there'd be hundreds of shows to choose from instead of going back to something made in the 90's. ;)

It's sense of humor and characters. Those, and Viz Media's Redub.

  17. Too bad that Interplay fucked up the HD version of Earthworm Jim. They could have made the ultimate version that had the parallax and transparencies of the Super NES version, and the Sega CD's extra levels and improved animation.

  18. Too bad that Twisted Metal: Harbor City was cancelled. Judging from what was on TMHO Extra Twisted Edition, it fixed the questionable lighting issue from TMB.

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Twisted Metal Games were my Favorite thing in the Universe until the unplayable PS3 version that has NO D-Pad controls...

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

Actually, you controlled with the left analog stick. Plus, it also has the classic control scheme.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Wait! What do U mean it Has the classic control scheme, which would mean you can control it with the D-Pad like in Every other TM game?? I tried it for 3 minutes once and it was horrible because they got rid of the D-pad which now controls the special moves...Is there really a way to play it now>???? HOW?? (Sorry this is The game that killed modern games for me...I had such High hopes...

  19. Two things about the original Ducktales that I still appreciate that no one else does: the background music and the character layouts. One of my gripes with the 2017 show is that the characters are stiff as an erection.

      simbalion

I gave up on the reboot two episodes in.

  20. Was I the only person who thought that live-action Dora the Explorer trailer was a pre-emptive April Fools joke?

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Sounds about right hahaa...Like I always say...I'm holding out for a live action Tetris movie.

  21. What can I say about Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings, it may be flawed, it may have taken years for an official release, but it was worth the wait.

They put it out for NES? ;)

  22. What kind of car you would like to see in a Car Combat game? https://vid.me/sLFg

  23. What was the point of Children of the Corn 4: The Gathering if it doesn't have any ties to Stephen King's story and the first three films? It could have easily worked as an original title. (Ditto for CotC5.)

It would have been more interesting if they worshipped-- and planned to resurrect-- Orville Redenbacher!
