  1. Once again: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3081982957
  2. There is a difference between this listings, he added this: A FANTASTIC GIFT OR COLLECTABLE! Sure to please anyone, especially those hard to buy gifts for. Why wait? Buy this one for a Christmas gift! Christmas? Isn't it a bit early to buy christmas gifts?
  3. You might find what you need here: http://www.atariage.com/store/index.php?cPath=65 Good luck!
  4. Read this: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyo...se-contact.html Wrong contact information is a valid reason for ebay to NARU someone! Not all the times they'll NARU the user, but I reported once and they did.
  5. http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...ormationRequest See the "Contact Info" section on this page.
  6. As for my friend, he contacted the seller who agreed to remove his bid so he'll not have to buy the item. That's a good news. Here's what ebay says about retracting a bid: I think they should revise that to add some more accepable reasons! Anyway, sniping is definetly the best way to bid on ebay for many reasons, this one just added up in my list!
  7. take a look at this: http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=3706548161 The now highest bidder has bid an amount for this item. Let say 90$. The system said the typical "You were outbidded" when he placed his bid so he looked elsewhere and found something else and bought it. A day after the bid, the seller cancelled the then highest bidder so my friend who got outbidded at first is now the highest bidder, and from what we understand of ebay, he will have to buy this item because of the binding we all have when we bid on ebay! You can see the cancelation lower on the bids page. If you snipe, you will se right away if you won the item or not because it'll be seconds later that the auction will have ended. You won't have the time to look elsewhere before the auction has really ended, so even if you get a pretty fast seller who cancel bids in the last seconds, that'll not screw you up like my friend with his early bid. Now we just hope that he'll be outbid before the auction ends..
  8. Here's a picture of a Coco with some carts. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...&category=49237
  9. Here is a 1600 pixel wide Atari text as an example.
  10. I just made a vectorial version of the logo, which you can print at 8x10 600 dpi if you want to have a nice clean logo. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...p=542739#542739
  11. That's what I figured but it doesn't seem to work on my tracks. Anyway, I'm submitting them anyway, they're supposed to work so I guess they'll work fine on your side!
  12. Are there any limitations we have to respect in order to make the tracks work. I designed some tracks that are not working in race mode, the counter doesn't increase when my car crosses the line. Is there a minimum length for the track? Are there any specific points we need to draw around?
  13. That is correct, you can now remove feedback if both parties agree! http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/feedba...drawal-faq.html
  14. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...7&category=3537 For first, I don't think this is a heavy sixer as he claims. and this: (RARE GAMES) GOPHER,SPACE JOCKEY,DONKEY KONG,POPEYE,FROGGER. how rare!!
  15. I'm no powerseller, but I've sold enough on ebay to know some little tricks, so here are little suggestions I have. On ebay, the title is where you put search keyword, that's all what it's for! Words like "rare", "Look", "SEE!", "Amazing" and so on are pretty useless in a title! That belongs to the description. If you have a few letters remaining in your description, think of an interesting option you offer, like LOW SHIP or NR (No reserve) as people sometimes search for this also. Do you type "rare" or "look" when searching? No! Nobody does that. You may think it will drag people inside your auction while they are browsing, but does it catch you? Those words often sound like someone telling you "hey come see, I tell you it's rare/amazing/unbeatable/bla bla bla in case you don't know it"... let the people be the judge for that, they'll fell more confortable. Don't appear to be someone who's trying to use their ignorance to make money on them. "6 BOXED CIB Atari 2600/7800 GAMES - NR" is a good title. People search for "Atari" "Atari 2600", "BOX", "CIB".. think of the more keywords that represent your item. What do you search on ebay? Would your item appear in the results if you searched atari games with your regular searching methods? If you don't mind spending half a dollar more, you may use a subtitle to catch browsing people with non-keyword information like the title of the two or three rarest games in yout lot or something people may be interested in like "Local pickup available!" "Rare" is the most overused word for atari games. Don't use it, it doesn't mean anything anymore. When describing your item, be as descriptive as possible and don't try to hipnotize your potential buyers with pages of text. Be short but complete! Try to make sections in your auctions, one for the description, another one for shipping information, one for payment terms, etc.. I think your current description is just fine. Short but that tells all what is important. Cart condition may have been nice (no scratches, no holes in stickers, mint, nr mint) Make sure to take enough pictures so people can see before bidding. No or bad pictures repulse bidders and generate lots of emails! Take your pictures as detailed as possible (without making your picture more that 800 pixels wide), take closeups of the more important details. If there is a scratch on a label for example, take a closeup picture of it! Know where you want to sell. In the US of course, Canada? Worldwide? Check on your courrier's website for how much it is to ship anywhere and put that in the auction. People love to have that information right away. Another good one is to tell you are willing to ship USPS or UPS (for example) and you will charge the exact rate... people love that! I've even saw things like "I charge 10$ flat rate and I'll include a check for the difference if shipping cost less" Take the Gallery option if your item worth more that 4 or 5 dollars. Of course, don't use that if you sell for less, it will not worth it! Make sure you select a picture for your auction (this is not the gallery picture) or check the "The description already contains a picture URL for my item" to have the little picture logo beside your title in search results. Look for "Free listing days" or "Free gallery days" or other promotions to save on fees. Different ebay sites have different promos but you can list on any of them. For example, even if you always used ebay.com to list your stuff, you may use the "1 cent gallery" on ebay.ca by listing your items from there and make them available for the USA. I hope that was interesting!
  16. Why don't you just put your maximum bid right from the start and let the proxy system bid for you? That way, the only way a sniper can beat you is if they are ready to pay more than you.
  17. You could have bought it and sell it in the marketplace here with no profit. I'm sure some collectors would have appreciate the kindness!
  18. You just have to wait 3 months until the item disapear from the system
  19. Sniping has 2 main advantages: 1 - It doesn't give me the chance to rebid a little higher if I'm outbid by the proxy system. Which is good since I always snipe with my maximum bid. I don't have time to say "Oh, let's try $2 more..." and that is good since that $2.00 are over what I'm really ready to pay. That teaches me to be patient and has proven me right many times in the past. 2 - It doesn't give time to people who didn't put their maximum bid to bid again. That means that I have more chances of having a good deal if I bid against people who don't use the ebay proxy bidding system correctly. If everybody was using the proxy system as it was meant to be used, sniping would be completely useless. But there are so many people out there who use ebay like if they were in a traditional auction system that sniping has naturally become the best way to bid on ebay.
  20. What I hate the most is when I'm waiting for a snipe and 3 minutes before the auction ends, some people come and start a battle by the minimum increase!! Damn it, put your maximum bid and that's it! Can anyone tell me the point of climbing the price by .50$ every 2 seconds? It's clear those people don't understand ebay and the proxy bid system! They spoil good opportunities of grabbing a nice deal by acting that way. Snipers will not win if you entered your maximum bid that is higher than theirs! I had to leave on christmas day so I used the proxy system to bid for me and I won, even if a sniper tried to steal it 2 seconds before the end of the auction! See: http://offer.ebay.ca/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=3067193719 That is good ebaying! Not putting $5.00 on something you would have paid $25.00 and got sniped at $5.50! If you think $20.00 isa good price, dont try $5.00 and see if you get overbid! Put $20.00 now and let the proxy system bid for you.. that is the best way to play the ebay game.
  21. I'm use the sniping technique on ebay for various reasons and I think it's clearly the best way to use the bidding system on ebay, which is not an traditional auction system like many people seems to see it, you have to understand two things: What it means to bid on a timed auction and what is proxy bidding. Here is a little page for those who think snipers should be banned or something. http://www.geocities.com/hunterkenneth/index.html
  22. Not mine. It's at $10.50 right now.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...MEBWA%3AIT&rd=1
  23. The flea markets around here aren't flea markets anymore, they are now poor man's shopping centers even if you don't get much more deals than in real shopping centers. 2 stands out of 3 are permanent with new stuff for sale. I even came across a stand where you could buy prom dresses! I can't imagine that! - Where did you get your dress, it's beautiful? - At Simons, and yours? - Oh, at the Bob's flea market! - ?!? There are always some stands up for one week or so and when you ask if they have atari stuff, they all tell you that there is one guy who has a stand somewhere that already bought all for about nothing.. and I went to see those gaming stands and they sell those like 2$ for a loose asteroid cart.. a normal sixer with it's box for 60$... Your flea markets seem to be much more interesting and full of treasures!
  24. Once in a while,Ebay clear it's system from these. I once created an ID for testing that method and after 50 transactions, ebay cancelled all of my auctions and sent me a warning email, half of my feedback disappeared and a lot of people I did business with were NARU'd. http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...&item=-1&de=off
